Text To Text Text To Self Text To World 0

This handout provides guidance for analyzing a text using three approaches: text-to-text, where the reader considers connections between the text and other works; text-to-self, where the reader reflects on personal experiences; and text-to-world, where the reader considers the text's broader context and implications. For each approach, it lists prompts to help the reader complete a statement reflecting on the text through that lens, such as comparing it to another work, relating it to one's own life, or situating it within past or current events.
