Thank you so much for downloading my Christmas word problems, 2nd Grade worksheets. These
worksheets are a sample of my work. As time allows, there will be more to follow.
These worksheets incorporate addition and subtraction word problems within a 100, based on
Christmas themes. An answer page is also provided. These worksheets cover the following common
core state standard:

“Use addition and subtraction within 100 to solve one- and two-step word problems involving
situations of adding to, taking from, putting together, taking apart, and comparing, with unknowns
in all positions, e.g., by using drawings and equations with a symbol for the unknown numbers to
represents the problem.”
Close to the holidays, I always find it difficult to keep the learners motived to learn. With this product, I hope that
you are able to keep your learners engaged in the learning process, while still being able to get into the holiday spirit.

Santa’s Workshop
1. Santa’s elves are busy building toy trains. They have built Work it out!
27 red trains and 45 blue trains. How many trains have they
