General Summary: The ideal Early Years Teacher performs multiple duties related to supporting and
encouraging the academic, social, and emotional development of all Early Years students in cooperation
with the Early Years teaching team. The Teacher is responsible for designing and implementing creative
planning documentation, maintaining a positive learning environment, participating actively in the
learning neighbourhood, and is an integral member of the Green School team, sharing in the duties of
daily school operations.

4. A link to a personal 10-15 minute video/podcast that addresses seven of the following topics
used for our selection criteria:
a) Outline your current philosophy on education and learning incorporating input from
current issues in education, internationally and nationally.
b) Briefly outline which educational leaders are shaping your life-long learning and
professional practice.
c) Describe how you create a compelling desire in your students to learn, behave,
cooperate, and flourish.
d) Describe how you have demonstrated extensive practical expertise in establishing
effective and progressive teaching and learning frameworks and programs.
e) Describe something of which you are the most proud of accomplishing in your
professional experience.
f) Briefly provide an example of experience in leading major change in sustainable or
progressive education.
g) Discuss your capacity to contribute to the holistic development of the students
through the support of the school’s extra-curricular programs.
h) Describe a time when you had to deal with an issue that required your resilience and
detail the approach you to deal with this situation.
i) Your experience and preferred format for working in a classroom with a co-teacher.
j) Discuss or submit a creative idea using only bamboo. We want to see how you
innovate.
