QUESTION AFFIRMATIVE NEGATIVE

Is He tall? Yes, He is. No, He is not. (isn’t –
Is She tall? Yes, She is. short form)
Is It tall? Yes, It is. No, She is not.
No, It is not.
Are we tall? Yes, you are. No, you are not. (Aren’t–
Are you tall/ Yes, we are. short form)
Are they tall? Yes, they are. No, we are not.
No, they are not.

EXAMPLES:
 Are you the teacher? No, I’m not. I’m a student.
 Who is she? She is Betty. She’s an excellent swimmer.
 Are Shirley and Susan actresses? No, they aren’t. They are singers.
They’re very famous.
