RTOM - RTDS - DOC - Procedure Data Transmission RTOM SERVA View

This document provides instructions for configuring SERVA View software to transmit cementing data in real-time from NPS cementing units to RTOM equipment. It outlines connecting to the rig site Wi-Fi, disabling the Windows firewall, receiving cementing data in SERVA View, and sending the data via TCP/IP to the RTOM server. The key cementing parameters to transmit are pump pressure, flow rate, fluid density, and total volume pumped. A transmission test is recommended before each cementing job to ensure all data is received by RTOM.

I. INTRODUCTION
This document explains The Cementing WITS0 data Real Time Transmission from NPS Cementing units to
the RTOM equipment, with the required parameters requested by Sonatrach.

To monitor a Cement job properly, four parameters Must Be Transmitted, this parameter are as following:

1. Cementing Pump Pressure (avg)

2. Cementing Flow Rate Out (avg)
3. Cementing Fluid Dens Out (avg)
4. Cementing Total Vol Pumped (avg)

II. CONNECTIVITY PROCEDURE

Connect to the Wi-Fi on the rig site:

 Connect to T Wi-Fi Network:

SSID: RTOM-SMTEST
Password: RTOM-SMTEST

 Change the Configuration of the Wifi Card as shown below:

IV. SERVA VIEW CONFIGURATION:
In this step we will describe how to configure SERVA View to send the wits channels

Step One: Receiving the Cementing Data

Start the Serva view software, this window will be displayed, at this level you will have to lunch a New Job
by Clicking on New.

Page 6 | 14
 Once you click on New, the bellow window will be displayed, write the Name of the New Job,

 After you click OK, and and if the connectivity between the laptop and the Cementing System is
good, the E1 should change the Cooler form green to Blue as you can see in the Window Below :

 at this point you start recording the Job on real time by clicking on Real Time. And the viewer of the
Cementing Data will be displayed as following:

 Check on Start to record, the cementing Data should start appearing on the viewer as you will see
in the Next Window:

Now the Parte of receiving the Cementing Data from the Cementing unit is complete, the next part is To
Transmit the Cementing Data to The RTOM equipment.

Step Two: Sending the Cementing Data
During a Cementing Job Transmission, four parameters must be transmitted plus the Date and Time, this
parameter are as following:

Table 1:The WITS Data to Be Sent

Item Description Long Mnemonic Short Mnemonic FPS Units

5 Date DATE DATE ----
6 Time TIME TIME ----
12 Cem Pump Pressure (avg) CEMPPA CPPA PSI
17 Cem Flow Rate Out (avg) CEMFOA CFOA BPM
20 Cem Fluid Dens Out (avg) CEMDOA CDOA PPG
30 Cem Total Vol Pumped CEMTVOL CTVL BBL

Once the Parte of receiving the Cementing Data from the Cementing Unit is done, the transmission Part
Should Start, to start Sending the cementing Job to the RTOM equipment the steps are as following:

 In Bellow Window Click on the WITS Transmission, as you can see in the Below image,

Zone one:

In this part you will set the WITS parameters to be sent, where you will check the Data to be sent, this data
is explained in table 1.

Zone two:

In this part you will set the TCP parameters for the transmission, this parameter is as following:

Server IP: 10.10.10.10

TCP Port: 8100

Once the TCP Parameters are set, you will check on send and English unit and then click on apply, at this
Point, the transmission should start, you will see the data transmitted each second, as shown in the
window bellow:

 You can confirm the transmission of the data by calling 2309 3420 or 2309 3429.

V. CONCLUSION:
Before Each Cementing Job, a Transmission test must Be Conducted, this test will be before the start of the
Mixing Procedure, and will insure that All the Cementing Parameters are well transmitted and well received
by the RTOM Equipment, an RTOM Engineer will assist you By Phone during the Transmission test, if there
is any issue with The transmission or the connectivity Please contact the RTOM Team on the: 2309 3420 or
the 2309 3429.
