Sugarcane Juice Extractor Design

This document describes the design and construction of a sugarcane juice extracting machine for rural communities in Nigeria. The machine was designed to extract juice from sugarcane in a way that is less labor intensive and damaging than traditional methods. It consists of two stainless steel roller crushers powered by a 3HP electric motor. The rollers are 134mm in diameter with a crushing section and cutting blades. The machine was tested on a 22.5kg sample of sugarcane and extracted 4.1kg of juice over 22 minutes. The design aims to provide an efficient and affordable way to extract sugarcane juice while reducing risks to users' teeth.
