We are looking for a Senior/Lead Software Development Engineer in Test (with 7+ years
of software development experience in testing), who is passionate about every aspect
of test suites and automating them for end to end testing of the web applications (REST
APIs and Web UIs). You would need to design and build/setup testing frameworks and
procedures for those applications. You will also be required to work with the product
manager to understand the application features and then during the development cycle
work with the engineering team to identify bugs, evaluate system performance and get
the issues fixed.

Responsibilities
● Lead QA team and also help in growing, hiring and mentoring.

● Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
● Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify
system requirement
● Continually add, refine, improve quality and tooling & our CI/CD pipeline.
● Contribute to and implement test automation and framework enhancement with a
quality mindset
● Write test plans and test cases for assigned features.
● Identify incomplete or unclear feature definitions and work with stakeholders to
address them.
● Review feature specification and design for testability and proposing solutions.
● Improve QA efficiency by building new tools and processes.
● Maintain quality and stability of the test automation.
● Build a world class automation infrastructure for test automation.
● Continuous improvement of regression test assets.
● Be a focused results-oriented team member.
Requirements:
● The most important requirement - Must have a growth mindset, be willing to learn
new technologies, take risks and not be afraid of failure, welcome challenges, be
result-oriented and hold him/herself fully accountable for its own commitments
and last but not least - be a great team player, whom everyone likes to work with.
● 7+ years of experience in setting, developing, maintaining, and operating test
automation frameworks/suites.
● 4+ years of experience in developing test suites to operate test automation for
REST APIs and React based Web UIs.
● 3+ years of working experience in application performance testing.
● Knowledge of instrumentation and running test automation in the containerized
environment.
● Experience in testing asynchronous systems that are developed in a cloud-based
distributed environment.
● Follow best practices for writing and maintaining and organizing codes. Have
knowledge of the latest trend in the QA space.
● Work hand-in-hand with the software development team to discuss verification
protocols for the applications and solve any identified defects.
● Have fair knowledge of Cloud (AWS) systems and CICD pipeline. We have a fully
automated pipeline to deploy docker images to AWS.
● We are language and framework agnostic and trust our engineers to make
sensible decisions to select (or learn quickly) their language and tool carefully.
However, if you wish to know our current software development stack - we are
currently leveraging GoLang, Python, TypeScript, Serverless-computing
(Lambda), Postgres, Redis, React, Redux, Jenkins, Github, Docker and tons of
other AWS resources.
