We would suggest selecting one programming language out of Java and Python. You may consider based
on your interest. You may also decide based on courses you would have studied in past semester. In case
you are new to programming, then we suggest going for Python. If you have studied C programming or
C++ programming, then Java is better. Please note that there is no connection between your choice of
programming language as of now against any project or role in TCS. The purpose of Launchpad is to guide
you on industry expectations and learn the basics well. Also, this program does not guarantee any
clearance of NQT test or interviews.
Below section covers the detail of every course and the sequence you should consider for learning. The
product also has community with same name (TCS POI_2122) where we will be sharing important
announcements. This will be six weeks engagement where we expect you to dedicate 3-4 hours everyday
for better outcome.
TCS POI SQL_2122
This course covers basics of SQL. These fundamentals are required for any project in IT as database is
integral part for any IT business. We will be covering about RDBMS basics and SQL queries. Please try out
all the hands on covered in the content for building better expertise.
Technical_Recordings _SQL
This course has three webinars available as recordings for your learning. There may be some minor audio
issues as these are live sessions recorded. However, the coverage is as per industry expectations. You
should try to do all hands on covered in each webinar along with referring the same. This will ensure best
of expertise in SQL.
TCS POI Python Basics_2122
This course covers all basics of Python programming you need to learn. You can go through webinar
recording course for Python and then complete this course. As shared earlier, bottom line is hands on
practice. Hence, we have below course for better practice.
Hands on - ION LITE _Python
This course has multiple Python questions configured along with test cases for automated assessments.
Please practice each question and try to clear it. Best part of this course is the platform integrated for
practice – iON Lite is almost like the NQT coding platform. Hence you have dual advantage attempting this
course.
Technical_Recordings _Python
There are live recorded webinars on Python basics in this course. These webinars would cover each
subtopic referred in the course - TCS POI Python Basics_2122
TCS POI Core Java Part A_2122
Basic Java Programming is divided in to two courses. This is the first course.
TCS POI Core Java Part B_2122
This is second course for Basic Java Programming.
TCS Public pg. 2
Hands on - ION LITE _Java
Similar hands-on course for Java programming. Again, all questions are integrated in iON Lite which will
give you good practice on similar platform as NQT test.
Technical_Recordings _Java
This course has live webinars recorded on every subtopic in Basic Java Programming courses. If you
consider practicing hands on along with the flow of these webinars, then it will ensure your expertise in
Basics of Java programming.
TCS POI Advanced Java Part A_2122
Once you are done with Basics of Java programming, you can try with Advanced Java Programming.
Advanced topics are divided into two courses. Both courses have excellent learning material and enough
content with recordings and case studies for good hands on.
TCS POI Advanced Java Part B_2122
This is second course for remaining topics of Advanced Java Programming
TCS POI Assessment_2122
This course is specifically designed for your assessments. Starting with fourth week of engagement, we
will be conducting multiple assessments to test your knowledge and expertise. It is strongly recommended
that you should attempt all assessments on time
Overall, it is six weeks engagement. You need not wait for any further announcements. Register for the
product and start learning with SQL course. We are sharing below guidelines you can consider for these
six weeks.
• Week 1: SQL basics + SQL Assessment
• Week 2: Java Basics or Python Basics (as per selected programming language)
• Week 3: Java Basics or Python Basics (as per selected programming language)
o Programming Assessment 1
o Programming Assessment 2
o Programming Assessment 3
• Week 4:
o Interview Readiness Connect 1 (SQL)
• Week 5:
o Interview Readiness Connect 2 (Python)
o Interview Readiness Connect 3 (Java)
• Week 6: Next Steps and Program Closure Connect
We strongly recommend considering self-learning and help each other on these modules. You may form
learning groups with friends in your college. Share your technical queries in the course level community
and answer questions from others in those communities. This is the best way to learn. When you dedicate
3-4 hours every day, try to focus more on hands on. 70% of your time should be dedicated for hands on

practice. This is the key difference against mode of learning any college subject. We need your practical
expertise and strong articulation for every subtopic.
We would also conduct open webinars over these six weeks. Webinars will mainly focus on grooming you
for NQT test and interviews. We will not be conducting any webinar for technical subtopic as the same is
already available in relevant course for every subtopic. Schedule of these webinars will be shared over
the main community (TCS POI_2122) soon. Hence, please keep active track with community. You should
be checking community twice every day. As and when we conduct webinars, we may have limited
capacity, hence we will also ensure that recording of each webinar is shared with you over community
within a day of concluding the webinar. Please refer below tentative weeks when these webinars will be
conducted.
