SECTION C
Question 1
Hadi is in year 3. He is 10 years old. He can run fast. Last week was the Sports’
Day at his school. Hadi was selected by his teacher to take part in the 100-metre
race. He was very happy. He trained every day for the race.
On that day, he woke up early in the morning and got ready for the race.
Hadi’s parents came to school to give him support. While he was running, he could
hear his friends and teachers cheering loudly for him. He ran as fast as lightning and
won the race.
When he was standing on the podium to receive the medal, his parents were
beaming with joy. His father gave him the thumbs up. At the end of the Prize Giving
Ceremony, his parents treated him and his friend ice-creams at a nearby stall. It was
a wonderful day for Hadi.

Question 2
During the weekend, Muaz’s father wanted to take his family to the waterfall
for a picnic. The whole family was excited. They loaded the car with food and drinks.
When they reach the waterfall, they looked for a shady tree to put their
things. Muaz’s mother then prepared their lunch. His father decided to go fishing by
the river. He brought his fishing rod with him.
Muaz and his brother changed their clothes and went swimming in the water.
His sister collected some beautiful pebbles and kept them in a glass jar.
In the evening, they cleared the place before going home. They had a
wonderful time at the waterfall. They hoped to go picnic again in the future.
