Q1. While on a course of 133 (T) at 12 knots in restricted visibility, a target was observed on the radar screen

Q.2 Ship sails at 1400 hrs from position 43ON, 058O 30’W to pick up pilot at 1900 hrs in position 44 ON, 060OW.
The current has been setting 180O(T) at 1.5 knot, throughout. The ship is fitted with Sperry gyro, which is
uncorrected for damping and N-S speed error. If the damping ratio is 1/40, calculate the gyro course and the
ship’s speed, which need to be maintained, to reach the pilot station in time.
