1. Prepare a set of Level notes for the data listed. Perform a check and adjust the misclosure.
Elevation of BM7 is 82.206m. If the total loop length is 1 km, what order of levelling is

2. A differential levelling circuit began on BM Hydrant (elevation 85.35ft) and closed on BM


Rock (elevation 96.17ft). The plus sight and minus sight distances were kept approximately
equal. Readings (in feet) given in the order taken are 2.65 (BS) on BM Hydrant, 3.51 (FS)
and 7.23 (BS) on TP1, 5.04(FS) and 11.41(BS) on BM1, 8.58(FS) and 7.65 (BS) on BM2,
4.23(FS) and 7.53(BS), on TP2, and 4.34 (FS) on BM Rock. Prepare, Check, and adjust the
notes.

4. The following consecutive readings were taken with a level and a 4m staff on a continuously
slopping ground at a common interval of 30m

0.780, 1.535, 1.955, 2.430, 2.985, 3.480, 1.155, 1.960, 2.365, 3.640, 0.935, 1.045, 1.630 and
2.545. (Readings in meters)

The reduced level of the first point A was 180.750m. rule out a page of a level field book and
enter the above readings. Calculate the reduced level of the points by the collimation method
(Height of Instrument) and Rise and Fall method. Check the calculation using Arithmetic Check
for both methods.
5. A line of Level was run from A to B. The levelling was then continued to a BM of elevation
40.0m. The reading obtained are as below, obtain the reduced level of A and B.
