air and only with caution
3. Maneuvering Speed, 104kts, 98kts, 93kts, Do not make full or abrupt control movements
above this speed
4. Maximum Flaps Extended Speed, 85kts, Do not exceed this speed with flaps down
5. Best Angle of Climb Speed, 55kts, Speed which gives greatest gain in altitude in a given
horizontal distance
6. Best Rate of Climb Speed, 67kts, Speed which gives greatest gain in altitude in a given
time
7. Best Glide Speed, 60kts, Speed which gives greatest gliding distance
1. White Arc, 35-85kts, Full Flap Operating Range. Lower limit is maximum weight Vso in
landing configuration. Upper limit is maximum speed permissible with flaps extended.
2. Green Arc, 40-111kts, Normal Operating Range. Lower limit is maximum weight Vs at
most forward CG with flaps retracted. Upper limit is maximum structural cruising speed.
3. Yellow Arc, 111-149kts, Operations must be conducted with caution and only in smooth
air.
4. Red Line, 140 kts, Maximum speed for all operations.

1. We need magneto check to know if magnetos are working properly. The RPM drop
when checking each magneto should not be more than 125RPM and the difference
between the two should not be more than 50RPM.
2. Low oil pressure with normal oil temperature means oil pressure gauge or relief valve
might be functioning. If there is oil loss, or not enough oil, then oil pressure will be low
and temperature will be high, engine failure can happen. Reduce engine power
immediately, using minimum power required to reach a touchdown spot. Land
immediately.
3. Excessive rate of charge in ammeter means that battery is being overcharged by the
alternator, and electronic components in the electrical system can be adversely affected
by higher than normal voltage. If charge reaches 31.5v, over voltage sensor will shut
down the alternator. If not, the alternator should be turned off, alternator circuit breaker
pulled, nonessential electrical equipment turned off and the flight terminated ASAP.
