Failure Description During the operation hearing a loud rubbing sound from the engine, the O&M assistance stop
the DEG immediately from an emergency bottom.
The Engine of DEG No.5 damage.
Failure Cause ▪ Full inspection of the engine by opening it found that an oil jet (Nozzle) broken, for that, the
oil didn’t reach to gudgeon pin, led to a failure and broke the connection arm.
▪ Replace the engine with the new one, at 18 Feb.
▪ Running the DEG No.5 for 30 minutes without load at 04:20 Pm 20/02/2021.
Final Performance The test run found the DEG no.5 in good performance and can back to the operation and supply
the power.

Failure Description During the operation hearing a grinding noise from the engine, the O&M assistance stop the DEG
no.3 immediately from an emergency bottom.
Failure Cause ▪ Full inspection of the Engine by opening it, the oil nozzle failure - the injection nozzles
(corroded), so that Incorrect quantity of injected fuel to increase the combustion, therefore
the heating rises up.
▪ hence, the liner sleeve stuck and damage the cylinder.
▪ Replace the engine with the new one, at 20 Feb.21.
▪ Running the DEG No.3 for 30 minutes without load at 11:30 Pm 20/02/2021.
Final Performance The test run found the DEG no.3 in good performance and can back to the operation and supply
the power.
