Manufacturing Airbrushes Since 1904

Jens Andreas Paasche was born February 27, 1880, the youngest and a twin, of a wonderful family
of six boys and four girls. At the age of 14, after grammar school in Trondheim, Norway , he entered into a
gunsmith apprenticeship with Kalseth Gunworks for four years. He left Kalseth Gunworks in 1898 to work
at Kongsberg Gunworks assembling Krag-Jorgensen guns and other weaponry.
At the age of 20 Jens left Norway for the United States aboard the S.S. Teutonic arriving in New
York Harbor on August 6, 1990. Settling in Chicago Jens secured employment with Thayer & Chandler
Air Brush Co. In 1903 he acquired half interest in a partnership of Wold AirBrush Manufacturing Com-
pany. The partnership lasted only 1-1/2 years and being driven by his determination and desire to make
a product that would surpass any other and be the pinnacle of craftsmanship and quality, he founded
Paasche Brothers in 1904. Jens made his airbrushes at night and sold them during the day. In 1906 he
bought his brothers’ interest and started Paasche Airbrush Company. The final transition took place on
May 20, 1916 when Paasche Airbrush Company was incorporated. Always looking for a better way, a
more efficient and less costly product, he acquired over 80 patents.
The original Paasche Airbrush factory was constructed in Chicago in 1922. It was subsequently
expanded three times. In 1984, needing more space for the ever increasing demand for airbrushes and
industrial spray equipment, the factory was relocated to Harwood Heights, Illinois, a northern suburb of
Chicago. We moved back to Chicago in 2005 and that is where we are currently manufacturing and as-
sembling our line of airbrushes and industrial spray paint equipment.
Paasche Airbrush Company is currently operated by Jens A. Paasche’s great grandsons Brian and
Steven Pettersen and their mother Vallie Pettersen. They continue the legacy left by Jens A. Paasche with
the ultimate in quality control and his instance that every airbrush be inspected prior to shipment.

LXG Gravity Feed HVLP Spray Gun LXS Siphon Feed HVLP Spray Gun
Light weight, easy to control, perfect for large and small jobs. Adjustable to achieve round and
flat spray patterns. Get a superior finish while saving paint. The LX spray guns apply paint with less force
which reduces both overspray and paint bounce from the surface. Installs with a PTFE packing and both
the fluid tip and needle are stainless steel allowing spraying of water and solvent based materials.
We also have head sizes 1.7mm & 2.0mm, switching sizes just requires changing the tip, needle and
aircap.

smaller spray patterns. Both the air and fluid inlets are

Paasche Spray Booths are designed to help you comply with Local and National
Standards, provided they are installed, used and maintained in accordance with instruc-
tions. Paasche Spray Booths and their necessary components conform with OSHA, NFPA,
UFC, and EPA regulations. Quality product, modern and efficient design and outstanding
performance, built to the strict engineering standards required by Local Codes and OSHA
safety requirements.

Paasche is foremost in solving finishing and coating problems. If

Booth Panels are fabricated of 18 gauge galvanized sheet steel. They are flanged,
on two sides, with bolt holes at 6 inch centers for easy assembly.
Paasche Tube-Axial fans are heavy gauge steel construction. A metal housing en-
closes V-belt drive and is attached to the fan bearing assembly. A sparkless aluminum fan
provides the maximum air delivery.

When ordering one of our spray booth fans the motor must be ordered separately. For instance the fan
part number would be B12-1/4 and the motor part number 1/4-1-EXP.

LIMITED WARRANTY
Paasche Airbrush Company (“Paasche”) warrants
the product manufactured by it to be commercially
free from any defects in material and workmanship
for a one year period after the original date of
consumer purchase. This warranty does not
extend to any product that has been affected by
wear or damage resulting from misuse, abrasion,
corrosion, negligence, accident, tampering, faulty
installation, inadequate maintenance, damage or
casualty, or to any product that has been improperly
repaired or altered in any way that affects the
condition of operation of the equipment. In the
case of accessories or components furnished, but
not manufactured by Paasche, Paasche assigns
to the buyer, to the extent permitted, the warranty
of the manufacturer.

If the product should become defective within the

warranty period, we will elect to repair or replace
it free of charge, including return transportation
provided it is delivered prepaid with proof of
purchase (such as cancelled check or register
receipt from place of purchase)

Paasche shall not be liable for any damage,

or loss, including, but not limited to, incidental
or consequential damage for injury to persons,
products, buildings, contents of buildings or other
property, or for any other direct, incidental or
consequential loss. The Buyer’s exclusive remedy
against Paasche for the breach of any obligation
under this sales contract, whether derived from
warranty or otherwise, shall be limited, as specified
herein, to repair or replacement. Some states do
not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or
consequential damages, so the above limitations
may not apply to you. This warranty gives you
specific rights, you may also have other rights
which vary from state to state.
