Session Title: LTR Strategy in Mother Tongue Using the Steps in

Marungko Method

I. OBJECTIVES:
The 1-hour training should enable the participants to;
1. Apply the steps of Marungko Method in teaching beginning reading in the
mother tongue.
2. Use appropriate MTB sight words to support readers in immediate experience
of achievement in reading quickly.
3. Make use of teacher made short stories to develop comprehension using words
formed.

Expected output:
 Simulation in the application of the steps in teaching beginning reading
through Marungko Method.
 Short stories in mother tongue written by the teachers.
 Individual sound production of the different letters in mother tongue.
