TKO Radio Setup Guide

To configure the channels on a TKO Radio receiver, you must download the radio management software and a channel table file from the manufacturer's website. You then connect the receiver to your computer, open the software, import the channel table, program the receiver, and check that the channels loaded correctly. Configuring Channel Tables

Step Action Display

In order to configure the Radios in the TKO receiver you must have the TKO Radio
Management Software.

It can be downloaded here: http://championinstruments.com/champeblast/TKO Users CD/Radio


Management Software/GM-xxPx management software V1.2.4.exe

Tables/12.5ChannelTable.ini.zip
You will need to Unzip these files before running them
*PLEASE NOTE: The FCC requires that you license your UHF radios. That is the user’s responsibility
and not Champion Instruments or its representatives.

 Connect your TKO receiver to the


computer using the serial port on the “Y”
cable that came with the system
 IMPORTANT: You cannot use the USB
2 cable at this time.
 Make sure you have a Full Battery
 Power the receiver on
 Press F2 to Make Sure it is in “UHF Rover
mode” (if not follow instruction on page 17
of users manual)

 Run the GM-xxPx Radio Management


Software by double clicking the install link
 Press the “OPEN” button then
“CONNECT”

3  You will see a Blue Bar across the Bottom


then a message “CONNECT OK”
 Press “OK”

 Next Press “CLEAR ALL”


 Then press “IMPORT”
 Navigate to and Select the Channel Table
you saved
 Change the Bandwidth to 12.5

 Press “PROGRAM”
 You will see a Blue Status Bar
 On the TKO the Middle Red light will blink

 When the Middle Red Light stops blinking


 Turn Off the TKO and Exit the GM-xxPx
Management Software
 The Radio is now programed, You may
reconnect to check that the channels

loaded properly
