Muhammad Ahmad Aziz, Section E 1

1. Having a universal language would eliminate diversity of languages and cultures around the world and make the world less interesting and dynamic to live in. 2. Many religions are tied to specific languages, and a universal language would threaten the existence of religious diversity and require the creation of a single new religion. 3. Important aspects of modern society like media, intelligence agencies, and technology rely on coding and separate languages and would be severely disrupted by a universal language. 4. Overall, a universal language is not practical or desirable because it would negatively impact diversity, culture, religion, technology and security around the world. The world functions better with many languages rather than just one.

Muhammad Ahmad Aziz, Section E 1

Question:
What is your opinion about one world one language? how will the world around you change if
there was one universal language? (min words 350)

Super humans never existed since the world introduced itself to the initial lives, nor do they exist
at this very moment. It is sometimes hard to define what a super human is, but literally speaking,
it is the one capable of doing every defined act without getting any of his or her human senses
blocked by frustration, fear, incompetence, fuss, remorse, and yet the list continues to reveal
negativities in personality of an ordinary human being. Having a universal language would just
mean the world would lose its ability to be a haven for the sane. We have been inbuilt with some
energies to deal with upcoming matters or issues, but we can never be able to use one-hundred
percent of our capabilities to communicate in one universal language.

Formerly and presently, world has gone through the phase of colonization, where people parted
themselves from the rest for the rest being unparalleled to them. Then, in an area of a small
crevice, some of such colonies were able to expand, cherish, and found of themselves a medium
of communication which they called as their own personal language. Speaking of now, there are
various sects in religions of people of the world, and all of these religions occupy a unique
language to convey the message of itself to its followers. If there would have to have a unique
language, then these entire religious affiliations would have to end, and people will have to either
go without any religion, or to create a new and Only one. But, technically speaking, who would
be the one to create a new religion without any instructions in a specific language? And there
would be hardly anyone wanting to submit their wills to an implicit conviction system without
any language, or just with one language which has been created by someone mortal. So, with a
universal language, an ignition to a new world war can be done which would ash the entire
humanity forever.
Coming to a lower scale, consider how this news broadcasting media would turn out to be. What
language would the journalists speak? Who would they refer to? How would the intelligence
agencies work if they would no longer be able to use coding? How about all the cultures? Will
they remain, since now their unique language would cease to exist? These are some questions
which need to be accounted for when thinking of a world with a universal language?

Since language is not just communicating verbally, but non-verbally as well, what would we be
like with one language? If it is vocal, then the world must go through a phase human evolution.
As we would not be using our hand gestures or some other body expressions to support what we
utter through our mouths, one may imagine a new human. On the other hand, if this one
universal language has to be non-verbal, then what is the purpose of tongue apart from sensing
what we are eating? So, technically, the entire would change drastically to an abnormal one.
Moreover, there would be high crime rates in terms of violence by foreign terrorists because
there would be no concept of secrecy in transmission of messages. This would merely be left as

a place of monotony because there would be a single language and nothing would be different to
experience and learn. This would in return cause one’s learning skillset become obsolete and this
decrease in human capital would cause a decline in productivity of international travelers, or
tourists.
Even if having a universal language makes interaction easier in theory, it also gives rise to a
dampening effect where our technological side of the world will cease to exist. Most electronic
and computer-based software work with coding, and business tycoons or any other firm has to
keep a security code to prevent hackers from tacking their confidential and private information.
But, if coding has to continue with this so called universal language for this world then
cybercrime would have been underground world in this new world with Universal language.

To sum up, world can never be a state with a universal language because of our own short
sightedness as in how we will work altogether with the limited amount of resources.
