 What was the role of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan after defeat in war of independence?
Ans: After the war of independence British did not trust the Muslims. The sufferings of
Muslims multiplied and they refused to adopt the system of education introduced by Muslims.
In these conditions Sir Syed Ahmed Khan took necessary steps to better the lot of Muslims in
educational, political and economic spheres. Therefore, he launched the Aligarh Movement.
