 ASSIGNMENT 2.

I. Introduction:
After finished the group assigment 1 of Product and service development, the team and I have many
interesting experiences together. The group consists of 6 people including Thuan, Tu, Minh Anh, Quynh
Anh and me. Through the assignment, we know how to develop a new product, know to launch and how
to eavuate the effectiveness of a new product. But in any group report there will be strengths and
weaknesses, it is important to how we can handle and improve or eliminate them.

II. Evaluation:
1. About Teamworking:
In the process of working in a team, we have many difficulties and many benefits when working together.
The first is about the benefits, since all of our team members have known each other since the 2nd summit,
so we have a lot of advantages when working together. Team leaders can also know the ability and
productivity of each person, thereby being able to distribute the workload in a fair and effective way for
the whole team. Secondly, working as a group helps us to be able to support each other in time if we are
in urgent situation. Finally, working in groups helps us gain valuable experience to know the strengths and
weaknesses of each person, which will be applied and changed in the following group assignments.

Although the group has been formed for a long time, it is still impossible to avoid mistakes during the work.
First, the members have been studying together for a long time, but not everyone receives the same
amount of knowledge, thus causing many errors in assignment. Secondly, during the work of the members,
there are often conflicts, everyone has their own opinion, leading to arguments and not only affect the
process of doing the work, but also the mentality of the members is also negatively affected. To discuss
and work, unifying the idea now is very difficult because everyone is putting their ego too high. Third,
when the submission deadline is close, there are still a few members who are slow to complete the
process, causing the posting to be delayed and the team leader not to have time to review and correct all
sections. And finally, becase of the effect of the Covid-19 epidemic, our team could not meet in person,
the group could only meet via video call to discuss the project. The above things all affect the ability to
communicate in our team.

From the problems that my team encountered during the teamwork, we also gained a lot of experience
for group assignment in the following subjects. First of all, when we are working in groups, we should
spend more time working together, taking advantage of class lessons to discuss together, thus avoiding
the situation where members do not understand the meaning of lectures and results are not in the right
direction. In order to avoid conflicts between members, each person must yield to each other to solve all
problems in the group work. Since this is a group exercise, members should arrange their own schedules
so as not to interfere with their own work and other assignments.
 2. About developing product process:
In this group project, we developed a new product, Herbalife Spirulina Concentrate for Herbalife, made
from nutritious spirulina and healthy minerals. This is a new product on the Vietnamese market today,
according to the survey of this product, if released, it will receive a lot of positive feedback from customers,
especially in the time of disease outbreak. Because everyone is worried and wants to protect their health.
I think this is a good, innovative and new product for the functional food market in Vietnam, the advantage
of this product is that there are not too many competitors and potential customers are qualified adults.
From 28 to 37 years old, who have a job and a stable financial situation. Next is the color and form of the
drug has also been carefully researched and surveyed to ensure that when released to the market will
have great support of consumers. Our team also applies fairly the knowledge of the lesson to our products.
The team knows how to apply marketing strategies, product development planning to create a new
product.

But Herbalife's new algae product also face many obstacles, first of all in terms of product quality, there
are many quality and functional algae products in Vietnam's supplement market. The same comes from
many countries around the world like Japan. Next, manufacturers use plastic cans to preserve products,
but if Herbalife using glass bottles to preserve, enhance product value and keep the best quality. This will
make the product more quality, new and more creative. And to improve our products further, we need to
have more feedback from customers after launching this product, so we should conduct a lot of surveys
to evaluate or apply more product testing to be able to producing Spirulina Concentrate with the best
quality for everyone.

However, with the idea for this new product, I feel that I have not contributed much to my team. The
teacher also received that this was not good for the Phasellus group and had many suggestions. I
personally think it is important to have an idea for a product, because if you want a good product and get
consumers attention, it must first be unique and different. I thought about creating a tablet product, but
after a lot of thorough testing and analysis and discussion with the same team, it was not feasible and
forced the whole group to switch to a liquid product to create. Differences with other products on the
market. I think I need to try and contribute my ideas more so that my group has more ideas and our team
will be more perfect.

3. Presentation skill:
Presentation skills are a very important skill, especially in group exercises. It is important that we write
reports for new product development, but presenting them to teachers can help Better understanding of
this product is more important. About the slide, we have highlighted the strengths and weaknesses of this
product, the detailed cost and price components, the audience and the media plan for the product. But to
present to the teachers and everyone, we also had a lot of difficulties. Personally, I felt that the
presentation that day was not really good because I was still not sure about the aspects to evaluate, so I
could not analyze thoroughly and made the listener not know much. The members of the group, most of
them are pretty good at what they have prepared. Actual data and examples are also applied quite well,
making the presentation richer and more reliable. To improve the presentation later, we should try to take
the time to practice the presentations together to exchange information about the product as well as
connecting the talks in the presentation to avoid missing information. and discrete. My presentation skills
are too poor, because I have too few words, I said that it took me too much time to think about the words
I would say. Not only that, I also have to use memo notes to memorize keywords, which makes my
presentation inconsistent and also makes listeners bored when listening. I need to improve this skill more
so that in the future I will have a more smooth and seamless presentation.

III. Conclusion:
All in all, in any group exercise, there will be different problems, but not so that the group members are
discouraged, lost interest in the work, the members must always have a sense of responsibility in the
assigned part. Through this group assignment, we have had a lot of interesting experiences together,
helping us understand each other better and will definitely go together in the next group work.
