Based on your learning in this lesson write in your own words, a personal
Credo of Ethical Communication containing your resolutions to be an ethical
communicator. Write your credo in the space below and affix your signature at
the bottom.

- Communication has been a part of our world ever since the very
beginning of mankind and by generation we have seen significant changes
revolving around how we communicate with one another. Take this present
generation for instance, we have the internet that connects a person to the whole
world with access to all sorts of information. That is why we have Ethical
communication as our guide for promoting good manners inside the use of
different platforms on the internet such as the social media. Ethical
Communication develop the minds of the people to be more open minded
towards what they say and do inside the platform and also being open minded
can drive you to have good manners and proper etiquette. I strongly believe that
unethical communication inside these platforms in the internet can be very
dangerous for it could harm people with fraudulent information that is being
conveyed and people would somehow absorb it without knowing it is harmful. In
that case I, Leonil Ayala in BEEd1 endorse and fully devote myself to practising
good manners on the internet applying ethical communication:

I advocate the practise of netiquette and proper communicative behaviours


to educate the well being of a person that proper behaviour is observed when
using the internet.

I strive for respect in the environment of the internet where communicators


can have conversation without hurting other people’s side.

I prohibit using the internet for communication in exploiting and illegal


abuse for this will not be a tool for criminals to take advantage of other
communicators.

I promote the safety of using internet as a tool for communication without


attacking its privacy code.

I accept and devote myself in keeping the internet a world of


communication where fairness and mutual understanding is applied.
