Implementation of SBM has a positive impact on school effectiveness
or school quality improvement. For example, In our school Low MPS has been a
problem lately, so through SBM, the school can cascade programs such as (Reading
and Comprehension Activities, Follow-up activities by teachers) and other good
practices that will improved the quality of education in our school. Through SBM the
school can keep track of the performance and make an appropriate action to a
problem.
2. A wonderful trend that arise in our school especially in this time of pandemic is the:
School flexibility and creativity of teachers - Teachers are being extra creative and
flexible out of necessity, the pandemic also provided an ideal scenario to break away
from stagnant practices and try new approaches in our school. Innovative instructional
practices, such as the distribution of boxes with materials for hands-on learning and the
development of interactive online academic activities, helped students continue their
studies from home.
Additionally, we are also eager to keep positive school cultures strong even when
teachers and students weren’t face-to-face created school spirit videos, planned virtual
graduations, and erected protocol signs for community awareness. Those approaches
helped boost morale, maintain traditions and strengthen community belonging during
extended school closures.
Students’ well-being - Our schools has also been concern not only with students’
academic performance but also with students’ well-being. We refer to this as the need to
develop a “whole child” perspective in education, with a balanced focus on cognitive,
social, and emotional skills. Specially in this time where, isolation has led to many
psychosocial fatigue to the students.
