Modular rack based system having following cards as a standard unit

4.0.1 Mounting Instructions (GDC Rack) :
GDC is a wall mounting style enclosure. The Wall mounting footprint is shown at bottom right picture in
above drawing.
Mounting screws : M6 screws with spring washer and plain washer to be used over threaded MS panel
base plate at the back.
Clearance : Min. 60mm clearance from side walls to be maintained for handling of this equipment
and appropriate distance to be maintained on side plate to access earthing screw.
Installation : This unit should be mounted in enclosed electrical cabinet and should not be mounted
in open environment
Position : This unit can be mounted anywhere in the panel with appropriate clearances mentioned
above, preferably above height of 600mm above ground level only for the purpose of
easy handling of the equipment.

Annex ‐ A
1. Equipment is designed for Industrial use and may cause interference if used in residential or
office areas.
2. Equipment is installed in electrical control cabinet with preferably metallic enclosure and
should not be used in open environment.
3. The Electrical control cabinet housing this equipment should be installed in protected
environment, which should not be influenced by power installations or lightning.
4. For safer and trouble‐free installations plant control room should meet following conditions
a. All the signal cables from GDC exchanged with other devices like plant control PLCs
and measuring equipments should have over‐voltage protection.
b. Electronic equipments in the control room should be interconnected with well
designed grounding systems.
c. Cables connected to this equipment should not run parallel to power cables
d. Shielded cables should be used with this equipment.

This manual is dedicated to "Users". User is defined as a person using the feeder for
production including:

• Correcting errors
• Trouble shooting
2 .1 CONVENTIONS

"ScrName" means a screen with name ScrName
[PrmName] means a parameter with Name PrmName
xx.yy means parameter number
xx.yy [PrmName] means indication of parameter name with its corresponding
parameter number
2 .2 ONLINE MENU
2 .3 ALARM SCREEN
In case of error or warning, this is displayed in the >Alarm< of the "Online Menu".
Pressing >Alarm< the Alarm Screen" is displayed.
In the "Error Screen" errors are displayed in red and warnings in yellow
In the base line of the "Error Screen" two buttons are offered:
• >Back< to "Online Menu"
• >Reset< to acknowledge errors and warnings. If error/warning still exists, it is redisplayed after
acknowledging.
2 .4 MENUS
Parameters can be accessed through menus. There are 3 different types of menus and it can
be accessed using different levels.
Login Success and Login Failure events are logged in Event Log.
Procedure
Select User type and enter the Password.
Press >Login< button. On Login Success, >Menu< button gets enabled and Menu access will be
given as per User Type.
Software versions, GDC name and GDC IP Address are displayed on Login screen as seen in the
Picture.

MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTION MANUAL
The impact plate is to be adjusted to 70 degrees inclination with horizontal and tightened firmly
with pinch clamps provided.
Adjust the oil damper for free vertical movement and fill in oil SAE 90 to the level required.
Check the tie rods of the measuring system for slackness and tighten through collect and nut.
Check the tie rods for free movement without any obstruction.
Adjust both side stoppers for both levers to ensure that load cell does not get over loaded/
damaged.
Inside solid flow Meter a positive pressure is not desired as the turbulence will lead to wrong
measurement of material.
The excess air is to be exhausted providing a dust collection system of suitable size to Solid
Flow Meter.
In order to dampen the vibrations to the measuring system an oil damper has been provided
which is to be filled with oil SAE 90 quantity 150 ml for every damper.
The Bin Level Measuring System (BLMS) delivers the material to Solid Flow Mater through shut
off gate flow control gate and air slide.
Material delivered through BLMS over a set time period can be measured and recorded. During the
same period SFM will also deliver the material to the system which is indicated on totalize.
After control measuring cycle a correction value is calculated This value can be integrated in the
Electronics with the Accept Correction input to the system . If the value is not accepted value is
used for calculation and the new value is ignored.
Please Solid Flow Meter on the base channel frame at the floor elevation. At the top of Solid Flow
Meter an INTEL flange has been provide. Keep the intermediate NFEED chute (150 mmheight)
along with its flexible bellow inside this INLIET flange.
Connect the main INFEED chute to the out late flange of air slide and tighten it firmly.
Towards its other end connect intermediate INFEED chute and also connect the flexible bellow.
Ensure that INFEED chute is not touching the Solid Flow Meter frame at any point.
Now install all the foundation bolts of Solid Flow Meter on the channel frame.
Adjust the impact plate to 70 degree inclinations with horizontal and tighten both pinch clamps
equally.
