Background:
Wollo University is found in south wollo in which it established
in1997E.C by ministry of education. It has two branches. The two
branches are Dessie campus and KIOT campus. Store is a place where
excess material is kept which will be used as and when required. Store
management is “ to receive materials, to protect them while in storage
from damage & unauthorized removal, to issue the material in the right
quantities, at the right time to the right place and to provide these service
promptly and at least cost”.
Now let as go our project KIOT store management system. KIOT store
management system is one of the systems that perform complex tasks.
.
. Specific objectives
In Order to achieve the general objective, the following specific objectives
are needed.
Our system does not support all language in which it supports only
English language.
The system also does not tell about the number of employee available in
the staff
The system does not focuses on how the user requests their needs to the
purchaser
Methodology
The project is to be carried out by a team of students. Initially there will be
continuous discussion with the entire store worker to get detail information about
the store through interviewing and physical observation.
From existing document of the store manager office collected more information
about the existing system relevant to develop the propose system.
Personal computer
RAM: - 4 GB RAM. RAM is used to store the data temporarily.
Hard disk:- 500 GB and above. It is used to store data permanently.
Printer
Flash disk
Software Tools
Different software tools are used to develop the system. From the software
tools the following are included:-
Feasibility study
FEASIBILITY STUDY is a test of system proposal according to its
workability, impact of the organization, ability to meet needs and
effective use of the resources. Feasibility is the determination of whether
or not a project is worth doing the process followed and making this
determination is called feasibility analysis. This determines whether a
project can and should be achieved. Once it has been determined that a
project is feasible, the analyst can go ahead and prepare the project
specification which finalizes project requirements.
Generally, feasibility analyses are undertaken within right time
constraints and normally conclude in a written and oral feasibility
report. The contents and recommendations of such a study will be used
as a sound basis for deciding whether to proceed, postpone or cancel the
project.
Thus, since the feasibility analysis may lead to the
commitment of large resources, it becomes necessary that it
should be conducted competently and that no fundamental errors of
judgment are made.
Economical feasibility:
Economic analysis could also be referred to as cost/benefit analysis. It is
the most frequently used method for evaluating the effectiveness of a
new system. In economic analysis the procedure is to determine the
benefits and savings that are expected from a candidate system and
compare them with costs. If benefits outweigh costs, then the decision is
made to design and implement the system. An entrepreneur must
accurately weigh the cost versus benefits before taking an action.
Technical Feasibility
A large part of determining resources has to do with assessing technical
feasibility. It considers the technical requirements of the proposed project. The
technical requirements are then compared to the technical capability of the
organization. The systems project is considered technically feasible if the internal
technical capability is sufficient to support the project requirements.
The analyst must find out whether current technical resources can be
upgraded or added to in a manner that fulfills the request under consideration. This
is where the expertise of system analysts is beneficial, since using their own
experience and their contact with vendors they will be able to answer the question
of technical feasibility.
Operational feasibility
Measure how much the proposed system solves the existing system problems. This
project is surely operationally feasible because the proposed system (the project) is
a good solution maker of the problem or specific solution will work in the existing
system and create a good environment towards the user of our application. The
project can cover the following activities:-The new system will be automatic
because it will deal with a database.
Tangable benefites
Since this project is going to be developed, there is reduction cost for
material that used for manual operation, save time and make comfortable working
environment for the users.
The financial benefits of our project are
Project scheduling
It is the chronological order of the project activities performed in timly
manner throught the entire project .we done the project sheduling by
using gnat chart sheduling technique in the following way.
