1. Describe a business that you would like to start. Discuss how you would use global
outsourcing to accomplish your goals.
 The business I want to start is an online clothing store. This will be a business
where global outsourcing will play a big role, but it could still be relevant. As
an owner, I can search for different types of clothing that are popular overseas
from different countries around the world.
2. Can the terms data, information, and knowledge have different meanings for different
people? Support your answer with examples.
 Yes, I think data, information and knowledge mean different things and can
vary from person to person. Data is a collection of facts that can provide a
broad picture of a situation. Data is the initial element used as a basis for
consideration of a policy decision. The data is still raw, so people who see or
read it cannot yet get complete information. Data is collected in certain ways
and then processed to produce information. Data is closer to information than
knowledge, but that doesn't mean that data and information are the same
thing. Information is the result of processing data into a form that is more
useful to the recipient, which describes real events for use in decision making.
Knowledge is something that is obtained after analyzing data and information.
For example, there is a lot of data out there in the world, but unless we have
that data, and the information about it, we cannot process and gain knowledge
about that data and information. Another real life example is sports. There is a
lot of data on sports, but we can't see the data at face value, we need
information about it. So in the game of badminton if a player does something
bad the data will show us the bad stats of that player but with that information
we can go a step further on why that player is doing badly. Maybe he got
injured or didn't play smart and hit a bad jump. With this we gain knowledge
of the situation which will allow us to better assess the future.
3. Information technology makes it possible to “never be out of touch.” Discuss the pros
and cons of always being available to your employers and clients (regardless of where
you are or what you are doing).
 The advantage of information technology in dealing with employees and
clients is that it is always up-to-date on various matters and in case of
emergencies or urgent news. Employees will always try to do all their duties
as perfectly as possible, making them a perfectionist. From being a
perfectionist, there will be pros and cons. From the bright side, your boss will
be able to rely completely on you when entrusting him with important and
critical tasks, and the results of his work are satisfying and do not need to be
corrected much. An employee who is a perfectionist will definitely be seen as
an employee who can be relied on by his boss, coworkers, clients, and the
people who work with him. When viewed from the downside When the limits

are set so high, sometimes it's difficult to always be able to achieve the same
performance over and over again. Being a perfectionist makes you reach high
performance peaks, and is always chasing those high points. In the beginning,
bosses and co-workers will find your work amazing results, after repeatedly
equating high performance, the higher the standard is expected of you. When
working with a perfectionist who always achieves their best, other co-workers
may reduce their work performance because they know their flaws will be
filled and complemented by that perfectionist. For example one can directly
contact whomever they need. If I need to call out of work or request work on a
certain day, I can easily text or call my manager. If I need someone to protect
me, I can call my fellow employees and tell them I need them to cover one
day. The cons, however, is that certain jobs require working outside of
working hours. So with clients who are happy to contact whoever they need,
they can. This can be disruptive and lead to long unpaid working hours. It can
cut personal time and take time away from someone from family, friends, or a
necessary task.
4. Is the vast amount of medical information on the Web a good thing? Answer from the
standpoint of a patient and from the standpoint of a physician.
 As a patient, I like to research certain things to help myself. Medical
information on the web is a good thing because it can help me as a patient to
get information regarding symptoms or how to heal without having to go to
the hospital, saving more money and time. But there is a downside too.
Because it could be that the information provided on the web is correct, but
we as readers of the information go through several steps that can cause bad
things to happen. But since many reputable websites offer advice on day-to-
day medical health, as a patient, I may not be able to visit the doctor every day
and gain knowledge of what the website says will help me improve. For
example if I have diarrhea and an online website says to try a certain herbal
remedy, even if the website is correct, I could be doing the wrong moment or
too much or too little.
 As a doctor, my opinion about medical information on the web will be very
detrimental to both medicine. Why is that?. Because the existence of medical
information on the web will affect the number of patients who will consult
directly with a doctor. This will reduce the doctor's income and the profession
of being a doctor has begun to be forgotten. For example, there are many
different weight loss programs and lots of people suggesting different things.
As a doctor, if I believe in a certain way to lose weight, I might reject other
ways that I don't think are right. But at the same time knowing that there is
good and reputable information for losing weight online, I can also rest
assured that a doctor knows that patients can recover and do not need to come

to me all the time. But for people who are hungry for money in the medical
field, they want people to come to them and to the hospital for income so
having all this information online is going to be detrimental to them.
