PERFORM STOCK CONTROL
1. What do you mean by stock control?
Stock control is based on how you manage the medicine in your establishment by
checking & regulating of goods on hand.
2. How to perform stock control?
In performing stock control we must do the following:
Maintains the needed medicines
Institute inventory control
Facilitates identification of drug site during physical inventory
Stocking documentation & procedures are identified & performed to
pharmacy policy & guidelines.
Shelf labels of discontinued products and those temporarily unavailable are
removed after the final stock item is taken from the shelf, according to
pharmacy policy
Stock level requirements are determined & reported to the pharmacist for
verification
Stock discrepancies are investigated & reported to the pharmacist
3. How does stock item calculation perform?
Stock calculation performed through manually or electronically
