PERFORM STOCK CONTROL

1. What do you mean by stock control?


 Stock control is based on how you manage the medicine in your establishment by
checking & regulating of goods on hand.
2. How to perform stock control?
 In performing stock control we must do the following:
 Maintains the needed medicines
 Institute inventory control
 Facilitates identification of drug site during physical inventory
 Stocking documentation & procedures are identified & performed to
pharmacy policy & guidelines.
 Shelf labels of discontinued products and those temporarily unavailable are
removed after the final stock item is taken from the shelf, according to
pharmacy policy
 Stock level requirements are determined & reported to the pharmacist for
verification
 Stock discrepancies are investigated & reported to the pharmacist
3. How does stock item calculation perform?
 Stock calculation performed through manually or electronically
4. What are stock level requirements?
 Stock level requirements are the following:
 May be recorded
 Manually
 Computer based system
 Print form
 Electronic system
