Golimario, es un monje elfo, hermano menor de
Golandriel, rey del antiguo dominio de Goland, en
el lejano bosque de Garmand.
Dado que no es heredero del reino, Golimario se
dedicó al aprendizaje de artes marciales, a
estudiar las antiguas escrituras, a enaltecer su
sabiduría y aumentar sus sentidos. Esto le sirvió
para ser el lider del ejercito de defensa en la línea
sur, cuando el avance de las fuerzas oscuras
parecía implacable.
Al ganar la batalla que daría fin a la guerra, se
ganó al clamor popular y se convirtió en un héroe
para todo el reino.
Terminada la guerra, emprende un largo viaje
para aumentar sus conocimientos y verificar que
los lugares de los que hablan las antiguas
leyendas de Goland realmente existen. En su
camino conoce al enano Gundren Rockseeker,
con quien forma, a pesar de la enemistad entre
elfos y enanos, una gran amistad.
Gundren fue clave para que Golimario encuentre
las tierras que las leyendas mencionaban, y para
que allí esté meditando durante siete días y
noches completos.
Pero este viaje no termina allí, sino que continúa
su camino durante 5 años más, hasta llegar a
Swordcoast, donde decide permanecer para
descansar luego de una larguísima travesía.
