KODAK: An Intrapreneurship Case

This case serves as an event that highlights the importance of intrapreneurs in

many, if not all, organizations. Intrapreneurs provide specialized skillset that is perfect
for the everchanging nature of industries, especially in the case of Kodak, whose trade
is under the digital technology industry. Technology, as of today, is constantly and
quickly evolving and companies that deal in this market must be innovative in order to
stay in the competition. Kodak’s belief in status quo led them to reject Mr. Sasson’s
proposal, which if accepted, would most likely save them from their imminent
bankruptcy.
The truth is that the status quo for constantly growing aspects of the economy
can only last for so long. Pioneers and innovation will always be needed in order to
adapt to the many changes in the economy.
