NAME: LAZO, MYLES N.

PROGRAM/YEAR/SECTION: 𝒜𝒸-2𝒜 DATE: December 10, 2020

ESSAY/PROBLEM SOLVING Direction: Answer each of the following question using

3 – 5 sentences only. Your answer will be graded according to the following: Content
– 10, Coherence – 6, and Grammar – 4. (20 points each, 80 points in total)

1. What the different types of input in Word Processing and describe them?

As far as I know we have text inputs and audio inputs in word processing. text
is most frequently entered with the use of a keyboard that is similar to a typewriter
and then the audio input in word processing, this is for dictation and it is now
already being widely implemented.

Word processors have different features that make it possible for an individual
to review text without retyping an entire document. When a text is entered or after
it has been recovered, it is possible to pass, copy, remove, modify, and add parts
ranging from words and sentences to paragraphs and pages while it is displayed.
Functions such as word counting, spell checking, footnoting, and index generation
have been introduced as word processors have become more sophisticated. In
addition, the format of a document can typically be easily changed, such as type
size, line spacing, margins, page length, and the like, the text is shown as it
appears when printed with indented paragraphs and lists, several columns, tables,
and so much more to assist with these modifications.

2. What are the advantages and disadvantages of using Spreadsheet and

Database Application?

Advantages can be for instant calculations, organization of data, and data mining
while disadvantages may include the lack of security, data may disappear
occasionally and learning the formulas require a certain level of skill. A major benefit
of spreadsheets together with a database application is that the software does all the
math for the user, when a formula is written and the program has a fixed command,
the relevant data that has been entered can easily be computed for complicated
calculations. Frequently, database applications and spreadsheets do well as
data collection and organization tools, which is one of the easiest of its uses,
information can be conveniently stored in neat columns and rows and sorted by type
of information. Data centers capture and store historical information that may not be
maintained by running software systems. The organization will use historical
information to build and evaluate patterns that help guide its decision-making
processes.
To discuss the disadvantages, usually, spreadsheets and database applications
are not as protected and are thus at greater risk of data theft or information
mismanagement, and files containing confidential financial information may not be
safe from hackers, even though they are password protected; also, modifying certain
file properties and formatting options can sometimes cause data contained to
disappear, and finally, the challenging part for many users is that the equations must
be entered as formulas in the spreadsheet—this involves learning the correct syntax
for each form of calculation you want to make or all related measurements and cells
will be affected and the data will be unreliable.

3. How Internet applications affects our work, business, learning and daily life?

We use the Internet applications in almost everything we do today, in ordering a

meal, buying anything we need, conducting a meeting with colleagues, sending an
image via instant messaging or any important matter. Before the Internet, if you
wanted to keep up with the news, you had to go down to the newsstand when it
opened in the morning and purchase a local version that recorded what had
happened the day before but today, a click or two is enough to read your local paper
and any news outlet from anywhere in the world up-to-the-minute.

The Internet and its applications have become parts of every aspect of our daily
lives, it has changed the way we communicate with others in work, business and
even in school. It has revolutionized to lighten up our tasks, to the point that it is now
our primary means of daily living. The scope of the Internet has grown to include the IT
capacities of universities and research centers and, subsequently, public bodies,
agencies and private companies from all over the world, currently, over this electronic
leviathan, vast amounts of knowledge are posted and downloaded and the content is
very much our own for now we are all commentators, authors, and producers.

4. How debt affects the work and life of individual and their relationship?

Because of debts, an individual might lose his health consciousness, he may be

emotionally and mentally unwell or he finds it hard to sleep and he can experience that
debt is also posing a huge negative impact towards his relationships. Those that were
particularly overburdened by debt had instances of elevated diastolic blood pressure,
higher debt-to-asset ratios were associated with higher perceived stress and
depression, poorer general self-reported health, and higher blood pressure at the
diastolic level, financial stress can lead to physical discomfort, and ulcers and back pain
are also known to be caused by stress. They were highly overthinking or very anxious to
pay their bills and expenses which is an issue that was just below the category of safety
and health. And finally, almost every person with a spouse or partner who is in debt
believes that their borrowing has adversely affected their relationship to the point that
quarrels are endless and it hard to establish harmony.

Those are just some of the effects being brought about by indebtedness and those
are serios matters people have to deal with because they don’t have any choice but to
face the circumstances of their debt.
