MULTI SPECIALITY HOSPITAL
(HEALTHCARE)INTRODUCTION:
Hospital buildings represent one of the crucial componenets of healthcare systems.
Healthcare requirements are changing rapidly because of the technological advancements
in the field of medicine and diagnostic equipments. Due to future uncertainities of medical]
and diagnostic equipments in terms of size, weight, the environment required for its functi
on adjacencies to other functional areas, it is often a challenge for the designer.
To cope up with the unpredictablity and uncertainty of these factors, healthcare design
professionals need to design and create facilities which are flexible in nature to meet and
future demands. Hence in this design I would like to explore more on to solving the flexibi
-lity, psychological and aesthetic part of the hospital along with the functional part of the
design.
AIM:
To design a multispeciality hospital that is functional, efficient yet economical without
compromising on the psychological and aesthetic aspect and also with the exploration
on hospitals that responds to present needs while anticipating future changes.
OBJECTIVE:
+ To establish a model hospital city on joint sector basis providing ideal working
environment
* To provide a comfortable, economical and user friendly healing environment to the
people of the district
* To provide patient oriented design strategy
* To understand the complexities of hospital design - how departments are interlinked
and equipments and machinery are being used
* To understand the application of green ideas into hospital design
WHY MULTISPECIALITY HOSPITAL?
Its common that whenever we fall ill or face some sort of health problems or urgency we
consider visiting a hospital. But, have you ever had the thought of visiting or considered
the importance of a multispecialty hospital for such medical urgencies? Multispeciality
hospital provide different services under one roof and are constantly updated with the
latest technological advancements in the medical and surgical due to team approach.
So it would be better if it is to explore such space with greater architectural ambiance,
and with other sustainable techniques.
SCOPE :
*To understand the overall planning, design and construction process of a superspeciality
hospital.
}* Universal design solution and making it more accessible and user friendly.
* Planning and designing according to the weather conditions of the place to create
comfortable environments to the in-patients.* Playing with colors, spaces and size to provide the psychological balance and healing
of the patients. It is not just pediatric ward requires vibrant ambience it is also very
important for adults.
* Having the experience of pandemic situation, designing a space with much anticipated
notions.

REJUVENATION CENTRE
(HEALING SPACE)INTRODUCTION:
In today’s modern life, thanks to the technological breakthroughs and cutting-edge
innovations in every aspect of science, people are at their cult of busyness, overwork
culture, and over scheduled. We all want to have an ideal future full of successes and
amazing moments but it wouldn’t be happening always as future cannot be anticipated
easily with assumptions. People are being over sensitive, over empathetic and gets emot
ional so easily. In order to stop themselves for a while and taking a break from the rout
-ine and spend some quality time for their own wellness through rejuvenating oneself
holistically by various therapies, meditation, yoga and some other healing process.
AIM:
To design a rejuvenation centre with a intend to provide all the amenities required for a
holistic and salubrious living of a community. The centre purely concentrates on various
aspects to reinforce physical and mental well being of the user.
WHY REJUVENATION?
Most Indian families opt for vacations that revolve around sight-seeing. However, the
trend is evolving with new facets of wellness, spa and rejuvenation as its top add-on
choices. Rejuvenation Holidays that can aid people to enjoy quality time together, add
some health benefits with spa treatments can be truly holistic. How do you like the idea
of relaxing together with pampering traditional massages, a light organic meal and then
a tour around to soak up the scenery all around? Most importantly, exploring and exper
-iencing all the amenities with greater architecture style. Buildings have the power to
interact with the senses (of sight, smell, sound and touch) and trigger them towards
well-being and rejuvenation. For instance, using building elements and material finishes
keeping in mind the effect they might have on the human brain would be a step toward
such architecture style.
OBJECTIVE:
# To explore how architecture can contribute spaces where healing can take place
+ The understand the focus of the exercise is to establish an architectural experience that
is a part of a force that can maintain and promote health through sense of journey,
inclusiveness, harmony and balance
* To study and understand about the functioning and benefits of therapies, meditation,
yoga, and other various activities performed
+ To understand the design that looks at the concept of zoning, in order to engage
activity with a distinct atmosphere
* To study how built form can interact with its users, generating a positive energy
* To study the built-open relationship, thereafter picking ideas and concepts that could
contribute to this designSCOPE
« To study and list out the contributions of existing architects and their practices into this
field. This would help us to figure out what are the various elements and features
already used by these architects in their practice of creating such environs
* Aholistic centre infusing wellness to the society
* An iconic building which isolates from noises and unnecessary pollution factors
+ This study shall also include the study of books and text by architects aiming at this
field in architecture, which would widen our knowledge further with respect to the
study of rejuvenating effects of architecture
+ The primary analysis of elements of architecture which can be therapeutic in nature,
to generate the environs of rejuvenation. This study shall be taking place in a manner
where we are going to discuss the relation of the following with rejuvenation effects
1. Light
2. Material
3. Colour
4. Sound
= The relation between human senses (sight, sound, smell, touch) and the built, focusing
‘on environs that could please these senses

SCHOOL FOR THE BLIND
(INSTITUTION)INTRODUCTION:
Visual impairment, also known as vision impairment or vision loss, is a decreased ability
to see to a degree that causes problems not fixable by usual means, such as glasses.
Most important sense for a human body is visual perception So, while they lack of sense
of seeing other sense like hearing, feel, touch and smell needs to fill its place.
The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that 80% of visual impairment is either
preventable or curable with treatment.
As of 2015 there were 940 million people with some degree of vision loss. 246 million
had low vision and 39 million were blind.
AIM:
The aim of this design is to study and explore the accessibility of blind people to public
and private spaces and how designers can address all the senses through the use of
architectural design in order to enable a visually impaired person to accurately
comprehend their environment and gain comfort from it
OBJECTIVE:
* Understanding the users i.e, visually impaired
+ To create a sense through architectural design in order to enable a visually impaired
person to experience the environment
* To understand the different texture material for the interior
* To understand the perception of architecture for blind and how other senses contributes
to it
To study how a built environment can be made more flexible and hospitable to the blind
WHAT CAUSES BLINDNESS?
* Vision problems can develop before a baby is born. Sometimes, parts of the eyes don't
form the way they should.
* Akid's eyes might look fine, but the brain has trouble processing the information they
send.
* The optic nerve sends pictures to the brain, so if the nerve doesn't form correctly, the
baby's brain won't receive the messages needed for sight.
* Blindness can be genetic (or inherited), which means that this problem gets passed
down to a kid from parents through genes.SCOPE:
«India has the largest blind population over the world.
#In India over 15 million (15,000,000) lakhs peoples are disabled people in India.
+ Perception of architecture for blind other sense contributes to enhancement of users.
* This project has its root connected to the other senses (touch, smell, hear, feel) of the
visually impaired person
NEEDS:
x There are only few Institutions are available in
Jamil Nadu, and it has the more number
of disabled female ratio than any other state \V/ ices
= Movement
*People with impairment have to face many * Mental
problems in a conventional school so it is very X 7 = Speech

requirement and help them to learn and grow
in their own space
