Ellipse (Four Center Method)

The document describes the four center method for drawing an ellipse. It involves: 1) Drawing the major and minor axes. 2) Drawing an arc from the origin to intersect an extension line to find point N. 3) Drawing an arc from point C to intersect the major axis and find point M. 4) Drawing perpendicular lines at the midpoint of AM to intersect the axes and find points O1 and O2. 5) Repeating steps 1-4 on the other side. 6) Drawing arcs from the four center points O1, O2, O1, and O2 to complete the ellipse.

Ellipse (four center method)

1- Draw two axes of the ellipse.

For example, the larg axis is 120 mm; whereas the small one is 80
mm.

2- Put the needle of the compass on the origin point (O), and draw
an arc with radius (OA) till it intersects with the extension of line
(DC). This will give you point (N).

3- Put the needle of the compass on point (C), and draw an arc with
radius (CN) till it intersects with line (AC). This will give you point
(M).

4- Draw a perpendicular line at the middle of (AM) till it intersects
with (AB) to find (O1), and with the extension of (CD) to find (O2).
