Warman Slurry Pump Selection Guide

1) This document selects a pump based on slurry pumping parameters from the Warman Slurry Pumping Handbook. It provides 21 input parameters about the slurry including solids flow rate, particle size, and pipe characteristics. 2) Based on the parameters, a carbon steel pipe with 6 inch diameter is selected. Calculations are shown to check the slurry velocity and Reynolds number. 3) A Warman 6/4 D-AH heavy duty rubber lined pump with a 5 vane closed rubber impeller is selected to pump the slurry at 1130 RPM. Key pump specifications and performance calculations are summarized.
