Salarzai

The Salarzai are a tribe that inhabits Bajaur District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. They may be the majority tribe in the area with a population of around 600,000. Like some other local tribes, the Salarzai have formed militias to oppose the Taliban. The Salarzai have close connections to inhabitants of the neighboring Kunar Province in Afghanistan.
