ESMP Server Rules and Guidelines 


 
Mission Statement 
Our mission is to provide players an alternative Minecraft experience 
focused on community, light economy/government roleplay, and positive 
enhancements to a vanilla game setup. 
 
Server Rules 
1. No stealing 
2. No griefing 
3. Be respectful 
4. Engage with the server community 
5. No hacks 
6. No excessive in-game exploits 
7. Use gold system currency - 1 Golden Nugget = $1, scaled up to 
ingots and blocks. 
 
Gameplay Guidelines 
1. Town System 
a. Players are strongly encouraged to join one or multiple 
settlements. Everyone is welcome to the Spawn city, 
Oceanside, while other settlements have their own rules. 
b. Three tiers of towns 
i. Settlement: 3-5 people. Recognized with a Dynmap 
waypoint. Given a Discord text channel. Can create a 
government with 1-2 total members, provided some sort 
of governing document is created. 
ii. Town: 6-12 people. Recognized with a Dynmap 
waypoint. Given a Discord voice and text channel. Given 
free copies of its official flag banner. Can create a 
government with 3-4 total members, provided some sort 
of governing document is created. 
iii. City: 13+ people. Recognized with a Dynmap waypoint 
and is allowed additional waypoints for businesses and 
points of interest. Given multiple Discord voice and text 
channels. Given custom Discord government titles. Given 
free copies of its official flag banner. Can create a 
government with 5+ total members, provided some sort 
of governing document is created. 
c. When any level of town is reached, the perks can be attained 
by contacting any of the staff team 
2. In-Game Elections 
a. In the event of a town being established, elections may be 
necessary. All elections must be held on Sundays and be 
managed by the server owner, or a different appointed 
independent individual. 
3. Travel 
a. Nether transit systems are permitted for distances greater than 
2,000 blocks. If not reaching that minimum distance, surface 
transportation should be used. 
4. Player Use of Money 
a. Beginning from 11/19, every new player shall receive $250 in 
starting money from the server.  
b. Only approved banks may operate, subject to server 
administration guidance. 
5. Auto Farms 
a. Most auto farms are permitted, so long as they do not create 
excessive lag. 
b. No zombie pigman farms unless approved by server staff. 
6. Staff Use of Gamemode 
a. Staff are only permitted to use non-survival methods when 
administering server rules, providing assistance to town 
infrastructure development (ie roads or bridges), or 
repairing/making up for game glitches or player activity
