ABOUT THE PROGRAM
“Start-Up Star” is a flagship program of the Silchar Management
Association (SMA) since its inception. The objective behind the
program is to motivate and encourage the creative young minds
of the region to come up with innovative enterprising business
ideas. The program provides the much needed platform to the
budding entrepreneurs to promote their ideas and get them
recognized by the business community.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
Any individual (student/research-scholar/any other person) of
age less than 30 years can participate in the contest either in the
individual capacity or in a group. A group can have a maximum
of two members.
REGISTRATION PROCESS
Interested participants need to pay a registration fee of ₹200/-
per participant (in case of groups; both the members need to pay
separately). The payment can be made by using internet banking
or other apps like Google Pay, Paytm, Phonepe etc. The
necessary bank details for the online payment of registration fee
are mentioned below:

GUIDELINES FOR PREPARING THE CONCEPT NOTES
The concept note must be an original idea of the
participant/group.
Should be well structured and within 6000 words.
Must be prepared in MS Word using Times New Roman,
font Size 12 with line spacing 1.5.
SELECTION PROCESS
The concept-note submitted by the participants will be
scrutinized and examined by a panel of experts. On the basis of
the evaluation by the Juries, top-ten proposals will be short-listed
for the presentation. The presentation will be held on two days
with five participants/groups each day. The decision of the panel
will be final.
