Fims-User Manual of Mobile-1

Field-work Inspection & Monitoring System (FIMS) is a mobile application developed by Local Government Engineering Department to facilitate digital field inspection reporting. The app allows inspectors to input inspection data including location, photos, videos and inspection forms on their mobile devices. Data is submitted to the FIMS server and reports can be viewed, sent and saved. The app guides inspectors through project and scheme selection before allowing input of inspection details using different forms. Submitted reports are visible on the inspector's dashboard and to administrators for monitoring purposes.

FIMS- Mobile Application

1.0 Introduction

Field-work Inspection & Monitoring Systems- FIMS is a Digital Systems for Field-work
Inspection Reporting. The inspectors will do the inspection reporting by FIMS Mobile Apps
and will exchange the reports, monitor the inspections etc. The administrator at LGED HQ
will create various types of inspection forms deploy to the field inspector’s mobile
application. The field inspectors can fill up the forms and submit to the systems or
send/email the inspection reports to their respective concerns. The Mobile Apps has the
features to capture site’s picture, video and Geo-location and send with or without the
reports. The inspectors will be able to preview the previous and current reports on Mobile.

The report & the dashboard is able to provide the counts of the inspections scheme-wise or
inspector-wise

2.0 Pre-requisitions
Mobile Device & Connectivity: In order to use the Mobile
Apps you need the Android/iPhone mobile & Internet
connectivity with the following configuration (minimum):

 Smart mobile: Duel core mobile processor, 1GB RAM,


50MB free space with Android Version: 14 or higher

 GPS/system enabled

 Internet Connectivity: 2G/3G/4G/Wi-Fi

3.0 Download and Installation of
the FIMS
First of all, you have to install the Apps on you mobile as follow:

 Go to Play Store on Android or App


Store on iPhone
 Search for FIMS or go to:
 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details
?id=com.tm.lged
 Tap on FIMS icon and Install (see the
pictures below)
 Tap on OPEN or DONE

4.0 Run & Login
After the Apps is successfully installed on your mobile,
you have to run and login in to the Apps as instructed
below.

 Run: Run the FIMS Apps by tapping


 Login: Login into the FIMS with your used ID and
password. If you want to save the password into your
apps, please keep the option ’Remember the
Password’ ticked and login.

Note: You must have to be online for First-time login. If Remember Password is Ticked while
login, you do not put the password again in the next time login unless your password has
been changed from server

5.0 Selecting Area, Project, Contract and


Scheme to Inspect
First of all, select the scheme by its area, project, and
contract (as instructed below):

Area Selection: In the ‘Search Contract’ Menu, Select Division,


District, Upazila and Project and then Tap on ‘Find Contract’ (see
the picture below).

Selecting Contract: Tap on the Contract or type the Contract
Name in the search box

Scheme Selection: After the Contract has been selected, the


Apps will display Scheme List under the selected Contract.
You can view the Basic Contract Information by Tapping (+)
Next, in the Scheme List Menu, Tap on the Scheme that you
want to Inspect

6.0 Scheme Menu


Scheme Menu is the main scheme-inspection menu from
where you can input the current location, image/short videos
and input the Inspection forms. Here you can also view scheme
information and completed inspection reports.

This is the indicator will turn green when inputs
are made, If data input is incomplete or not
finalized then the indicator light will turn into
amber and if no input is made then it will
remain gray

To submit the inputted data to the FIMS


System / Server. You must have to be online to
submit/complete the report

7.0 Inputting Inspection Data


7.1 Input Current Location (Scheme Location):
First Tap on the ‘Input Current Location’ and give few
seconds to the system to display your geo-location map.
Here, in the Address field, you can type the address of the
location (if address doesn’t appear automatically) and then
Tap on ‘Finish’
After capturing the Geo-location, the System will go to the
‘Scheme Menu’

7.2 Inputting Image/Video (Scheme Picture/Short Video):
Now, Tap on the ‘Input Image/Short Video’ Button to
capture Image/Video

Tap on ‘Add Image’ button, Capture the image. In the


Remarks Field, you can type the remarks, whereas in the
comment field of the captured picture, you can particulars in
the ‘Comment’ Field

Similarly, you can Capture video by Tapping on ‘Add Video’


and input comment/remarks

After Capturing the Image/Video, Tap on Finish button.

The inputted Geo-location and Image/Video which will
reflect on Scheme Menu as Green Status meaning you have
finalized inputting these data.

If you want to upload these geo-location/Image/video data,


then just Tap on ‘Complete Report’

7.3 Input Inspection Data:


Now, Inputting Inspection Data into the Inspection forms by
following below:
From the ‘Scheme Menu”, Tap on ‘Input Inspection Data’.
Here you will find the inspection forms assigned to you such
as Quick Inspection, General Monitoring Sheet,
Improvement/Maintenance Works of Pavement Layer
Quality, and Environmental Inspection etc.

In order the Start a New Inspection, Tap on New (such as


New Button of Quick Inspection)

Here, in the Inspection Form, Type into the given fields. After
your giving your inputs into the fields, if you think you have
to type further later, then Tap on ‘Save in Draft’. On the
other hand, If you think you have completed the report, then
Tap on ‘Finish’ button.

Now, after Tapping Finish button, the system will


automatically come back to the Scheme Menu where the
input data status will be Green. If, you do not finalize your
inputs by Tapping ‘Finish’, will be treated as
incomplete/draft, then the Color Status will be Orange.

Now, in the Scheme Menu, Tap on Complete Report while
you are online. Depending on Internet Connectivity, It might
take few seconds or not to get the input data uploaded.

Right After the uploading, the System will go to the


‘Complete Report’ Menu where you can also see your
previous uploaded Complete Report as well.

In case of incase of incomplete data, the orange color status will be displayed and only geo-
location, image, short video will be uploaded. On the other hand, the Drafted Inspection Forms
will be marked clicked which you can re-open and continue working on it (see the pictures
below)

In case of searching by date range, Tap on Calendar and


select the date range.

8.0 View/Send/Save the Completed Report
You can view, send or download your saved/uploaded
Report as instructed below:
In Order to View Go to the Complete Report Menu, Tap on
the Report you View /Send /Download. In order to View the
Full Report, you have to scroll down

In Order to Send the Report to anyone, just Tap on Send


button

Type the Email Address or user name you want to send the report. If you want to add more
recipient, Tap on Ádd/Point User (see the picture below)

After putting the recipient names/email, Tap on Send button to send the Report

Download: In order to download any report into your


mobile storage, Tap on Download PDF button.

9.0 Side Menu


There is a Side Menu in the Mobile Apps which will facilitate
you to go Home Screen directly, Logout from the system,
Check the incoming Reports from others in the Inbox, View
the Reports as per your jurisdiction, View Reporting
Dashboard, How to use Mobile Apps and Update the Mobile

Tap on the ‘’Side Menu from Top & Right Corner of the App

Tap on Home button that will lead you to the Home Screen
from where you can start new Inspection.

Tap on Logout to get out of the Apps or a fresh login.

9.1 Inbox
Tap on Inbox to find the all the Reports sent to you. The
Reports will Display the Report type, from whom and date
& time. You can view and re-send to other people as well

9.2 Report (View any report as per user’s


jurisdiction)
The Report in the side Menu will allow to view any of the
location, contract, and scheme report as per user’s
jurisdiction.

Tap on the Report in the Side Menu

Select the location, project, contract report and view any of


the report type or the completed report

9.3 Dashboard
The Monitoring Dashboard is a feature by which you can see
other inspector’s inspection/reporting activities, your total
inspections and the scheme inspected by whom.

Inspector’s Inspection/Reporting Activity: Tap on


ÍNSPECTED BY, select Division, District, Upazila, Project,
Office Name, Inspector’s Designation, Name. You can see the
all inspection activities by that Inspector

My Inspection: Tap on ‘’My inspection contain to see all


your inspection activates (see the picture below)

Scheme Inspection: In order to see Scheme by all its
inspection activities, Tap on ‘SCHEME INSPECTION’, Select
Division, District, Upazila, Project, Contract and Scheme Name.
It will show all the inspection visits date wise. In order to see
by date range, you can select from and to date (see the
picture below)

Random Inspection (For Consultant/Guest)


The feature is for the Consultant or Guest User of LGED
who will have limited access for reporting.

If you are a Consultant or a Guest, then first login as


Guest with given password (see the picture below)

Then, select Division, District, Upazila, Component, Project,
Road code, take a picture and submit the Report or Send
the Report by Selecting Submit or Email button (see the
picture below)

While submitting or sending the Report, the Mobile Apps will


ask to input your information such as Name, Email Address
and Mobile Number. After the inputs, Tap on Submit button
(see the picture below)

Important Notice:

Please do not keep your mobile away while logged-in
