Apple’s mission statement is to create a contribution to the world by making tools for the

mind that advance humankind. Apple has reinvented the movable with its revolutionary
iPhone and App store, and is defining the longer term of mobile media and computing
devices with iPad. Whereas for the vision statement, they believe that they are on the face
of the world to form great products, and that is not changing. They're constantly that
specialize in innovating and believe the straightforward, not the complex. They believe
that they have to have and control the first technologies behind the products that they
create and participate in markets where they will make a major contribution. Apple’s goals of
organisation in a nutshell is to obtain stellar products and services within tight timeframes,
at a price that represents the most effective possible value to their shareholders and
customers.

FOUR (4) Functions OF Management

Firstly is the planning, Apple will target on customer experience before they innovated their
new products. They will look into the errors before they plan to market their products. The
feedback and complaint from the customers is important to them as they need to produce a
new product that is better than the previous one. Another Planning strategy of Apple
company, there is a lot of teaser before the new product was launched and this will caused the
curiosity of the customers on the design of the new product. With this planning strategy, they
can estimate the numbers of product to be produced in order to save cost. Secondly is the
organizing, The organizational structure in the Apple company is in a hierarchical system. It
contains fundamentals from other organizational structures and enabled the sustainment of
leadership style. There are three types of organizational culture, Top–notch excellence:
Apple company will target and focusing on the best job position of the employees.
Employees will be often given training to work better for the company. Creativity: Creativity
is one of the most valuable assets in Apple. As the design of the product is one of the selling
point and most of the consumers are attracted by the design. Secrecy: Secrecy is serious and
important in the organizational structure because it protects the company from thievery or
leaked of data. Thirdly is the leading , Apple company leadership style was autocratic when
Steve jobs was the CEO. Steve jobs controls all the decision making and everything flow
through him. After he passed away in 2011, Tim Cook took over his position. Cook practices
democratic leadership style and the way he controlled the organization is totally different
from Steve jobs. The revenue of Apple company has increased after the year of 2011.Lastly
is the controlling, for the first step of controlling the process involves in the future
product. The goals of Apple are improving and growing their retail and online stores,
operating systems and products.The second step is the measurement of performance target.
Apple company’s performance quality are valued by the subsequent criteria: 1. Revenue
per area unit, 2. Product Units per Time, 3. Milestone per Time. Third step, apple company
often make a comparison on their current performance. If performance doesn't meet the
quality they targeted, then corrective steps may occur. If the Apple stores doesn’t meet the
targeted revenue, then the managers need do research with the employees and make
improvement with it. Fourth step, if there is an negative result happens within a long-term,
then managers may need to take up the responsibility and find out a solution.
