Dear Customer
Thanking you, for the choice of this product, we suggest you to read this manual carefully
before installing the metering pump and to follow attentively the technical indications and the safety
rules mentioned here below.
               WARNING!
The installation of the dosing pump in an ambient with strong presence
of substances in the air and with an high humidity is not suggested,
because the reducer and the motor are in aluminium alloy and also if
they are protected from a varnish, can be compromised; differently for
the head that is realized in plastic material so it will turn out, for choice,
compatible. Therefore, we lively suggest to install the dosing pump in an
              ambient sufficiently protected and ventilated.

The dosing pumps can be use every time on have the necessity to vary the pump capacity.
PUMP COMPOSITION:
Movement: It reduces the motor rounds necessary for the dosing, transforming the
round motion in an alternative rectilinear motion through an eccentric
with push rod and return spring.
Transmission movement: Elastic joint, in aluminium die-casting.
Regulation: Change the race from 0% to 100% through a screw that partial the
spring return during the out of service time and also in a movement
                                time.
Hydraulic part: Inhales the liquid to dose through the suction valve and pushes it
                                through the delivery valve.
Electric motor: Triphase or monophase CVE.
Constructive shape: V18 -class F – protection IP 55.
Triphase tension: 220/240 V - 380/415 V - 50 Hz or 220/280 V - 380/480V - 60 Hz.
Monophase tension: 230V - 50 Hz.
Voltage and frequency can be different on request.
Gearbox components: Aluminium die-casting.
External parts movement: The push rod is realized in S.S. 420, the protection components and

           4 USE TERMS
The effective value of the capacity is in function of the viscosity, the specific weight of the pumping
liquid and the relative loss of cargo
The capacities and the pressures indicated on the tables, are obtained
with an operation at a constant pressure with water at 15° and the pump
situated at 30 cm over the first hair of the water.
The power of the motor mounted on the pump is suitable for an use at
max higher of 1000 m on the s.l. and for an use in an ambient with
           temperature from +5 °C to +40 °C and for.
For terms use different from the above description the coefficient changes
following the graphic. If there is the necessity, you must have to preview
the installation of a major power motor.
x A risk type could derive from the eventually losses from the stuffing box, ‘caused for the effect of
usury of the gaskets, the liquid must be driven in a suitable place for the elimination or the
      accumulation.
x In the case happens breaches once emptied the system, remove pressure from the pump and
proceed to a capillary washing with its adapts average (attacks) and with adapted substances.
Only later on it will be able to proceed to the dismantling of the pump not forgetting that the
operator will have to wear all the adapted protections (gloves, glasses, shoes, coveralls).
Before the pack opening we advise to verify the box status, because in a case of visible damages the
end-user must have to contact immediately the courier and contest what’s happened. Subsequently on
have to execute a carefully control of the content to be able to understand and to signal eventually
damages endured during the transport or moving operations.
7 BLOCKS REMOVAL
Before the pump installation it’s necessary to remove the
protection stoppers, putting in the valve aspiration and suction
mouths.
8 PUMP INSTALLATION
8.1 PUMP’S LODGING
9 PUMP’S LOCATION
¾ The pump must be located in a vertical position over a strong plate stable and well levelled after
that fix in a secure way the pump to avoid tension on his axis.
¾ It’s better to located the pump flow ded with suction hose reduces at the minimum adopting
large curves to favourite the primer of the fluid to pump
¾ Manually check the free rotation of the pump, acting on the motor impeller. If the impeller is
blocked, check the placing of the pump and the alignment of the hoses.

                                                                     solution
                             CONNECTION EXAMPLES
         CORRECT APPLICATION WRONG APPLICATION
                                                              Suck up deposits
                                                              from bottom
A correct realisation of the delivery hose path is essential for a proper functioning of the pump,
therefore the following important details must be considered:
¾ The hose path must be as linear as possible and must be independently supported. The hose
connections must be installed in a way to avoid eventually expansions ‘caused from heat
sources, not exercising their action on the pump head.
¾ It's necessary to avoid back slopes to favourite the evacuation of eventually air bubbles and be
sure that the hoses are perfectly sealed.
¾ We suggest to always preview after the connection of the pump one or more T connector that
can be used to install manometer, safety valves and pulsation damper.
                                   CONNECTION EXAMPLES
       CORRECT APPLICATION WRONG APPLICATION
The use of the damper in the delivery part immediately after the pump is always recommends.
The benefits will be numerous for the capacity with more linear flow, the elimination of vibration on the
whole line and the protection from pressure peaks.

12 OIL FILLING
All the pumps are supplied without lubricant oil
therefore it’s necessary that the operator before the Oil
start up of the pump executes the filling of the pump charge
body or gearbox.
The pump has not other point that need to be
lubricate therefore the quantity of oil indicated on the
table is enough to guarantee a good lubrication of the Max
mechanical parts. level
The index of the spy located on the pump’s flank,
declares the right dose.
For technical reasons on suggest the substitution of
the lubricant after the first 500 hours of functioning
and following after 3000 working hours or at least one
time per year.

We remind to the end –user that the exhausted oil must be eliminate following the enforced Norms.
The oil type to put on the body pumps or gearbox that we suggest must have the following
characteristics:
High index of viscosity and cold flowly.

15 PUMP START UP
15.1 DESCRIPTION OF THE OPERATIONS
The operations necessary for the start up of the pump are the following:
9 Be sure that the oil is present on the body pump and that is visible from the spy.
9 Check that the motor rotation is in the direction showed from the arrow situated on the fan
      cover.
9 Check that the liquid to dose is not solidified or dried on the hose.
9 Check that all on-off valves along the path of the hoses are open; in the case that the system is
realized with flexible hose is sure that there are not folds or throttling.
9 To effect the first start up whit the minimum capacity and pressure 0, gradually increase it acting
on the regulation knob until the catching up of the max capacity of the pump to favourite the air
outflow fasten and in a secure way.
16 PUMP REGULATION
16.1 STROKE VARIATION WITH MANUAL SYSTEM
17 OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES
17.1 STROKE VARIATION WITH SERVOCONTROL
In a case of a pump with servocontrol, the above procedure is not valid it's necessary to read the
manual supplied with the servocontrol.
On apply the proximity on the dosing pump to be able to survey the number of
pumping.
At every pumping (equivalent to a complete round of the eccentric shaft)
correspond an impulse emitted from the proximity.
For more information is necessary to read the technical data supplied.
N.B. The calibration percentages mentioned are just as an indication anyway at the operator’s
      discretion
For relief or over pressure functioning - Installation pressure +15% of the same.
x To maintain the pump in safety condition for long-time and with high performances the same
must have to be submitted to maintenance that consists in control operation of viewing type.
x On have to control that the part of the pump, external and internal, are not damaged from
corrosive action or interested to degree phenomenon (cracks chicks and breaks). If there is any
inconvenient on have to change the damage part.
x On have to take care to the pumping head, if realized in plastic material, because are more
sensible to temperature variation and adjustment phenomenon.
x On suggest to the end user to affect numerous control after the first start up of the pump and to
write the data in a specific register (maintenance register). Following after the results obtained
the end user can better calibrate the maintenance.
The data sheet indicated the parts that needs ordinary maintenance during the functioning year

parts and request a frequent maintenance
        WARNING!
BEFORE PERFORMING ANY MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE THE FOLLOWING STEPS
         MUST BE OBSERVED.
¾ The pump must be offline and disconnected from all electrical power.
¾ The pump head and the system must have depressurised and emptied of used liquid.
¾ The service personnel must wear proper protection such as: gloves, mask glasses boots or
anything else necessary to prevent the skin from coming in contact with the liquid being
         pumped.
20 DAMAGE LOCATION
20.1 INCONVENIENT AND RESOLUTION
If you don’t take the necessary care on the pump can happens damages or inconvenient on the
functioning in this case is necessary an extraordinary maintenance or a verify of the functioning on the
following accessories:
Loss of liquid dose from the hole located under the lantern
 Capacity decrease:
21 REPAIR PROCEDURE
    WARNING!
THE CONDITION TO ACCEPT EVERY ARTICLE ON OUR STOCK FOR REPAIR ARE THE
     FOLLOWING.
On have to remove every residual of liquid or incrustation present on the pump with
particular attention to the hydraulic part (head and valve) to be able to touch the pump
with the hand without any danger for the operator.
The customer has to bring with the goods a declaration that the material has been
cleaned for the handling in safety condition.
The material sent to us without the prescription will be send back not repaired and with
     the charging of the costs.
¾ You have to take care at the eventually presence of liquids in pressure of the plant so on have
to intercept the piping near the pump.
¾ On have also to follow scrupulously to the actual Norms for the eventually recycle and waste
disposal of the raw material and of the machine metallic parts.
