1. M. V. Hindship is in dock water of RD 1.015 at drafts of F 8.68m, A 9.18m. She has to Load cargo
such that when in salt water she is at her summer load line and trimmed 1m by stern calculate (i) quantity
of cargo that can be loaded (ii) where with respect to AP should it be loaded and (iii) drafts forward and aft
in saltwater.

2. A box shaped vessel 75m x 10m x 6m is floating is SW on an even keel draft of 4.5m. Find the new
drafts Fwd & Aft if the forward compartment 5m long is bilged.

3. A box shaped vessel has length 80m and light displacement 800 tonnes. The vessel loads 200
tonnes in a forward compartment of length 20m and 200 tonnes in an after compartment of length 20m.
