VPN Configuration User Guide

1. Right click Network icon on the lower right side of desktop.


Note: network icon depends on the type of network connection of your computer

WiFi LAN

2. Select the following option

For Windows 10, select Open Network and Internet settings.

For Windows 7, select Open Network and Sharing Center (skip step 3 and proceed to
step 4).
3. From the Status menu scroll down and select Network and Sharing Center.

4. Select Set up a new connection or network.


5. Select Connect to a workplace. Click Next.

6. Select No, create a new connection. Click Next.


7. Click Use my Internet connection (VPN).

8. Type the internet address and destination name. Click Create.

Internet address: wfh.dlsu.edu.ph


Destination name: DLSU-VPN
9. Go back to Network and Sharing Center menu. Click Change adapter settings.

10. Right click DLSU-VPN. Click Properties.


11. Click Security tab. Tick Allow these protocols. In Type of VPN, click arrow down and
select Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol with IP sec(L2TP/IPsec). Click Advanced settings.

12. In the Key field type l@tp. Click OK.


13. Click Network icon on the lower right side of desktop. Click DLSU-VPN. Click
Connect.
14. Type your username and password. Click OK.

Username: manila\<MLS username>


Password: <MLS password>

Note: Procedure on how to create VPN connection may vary depending on the Operating
System.
