WRITTEN COMMUNICATION PROJECT

FUNUSUAL WRITING
HANDBOOK

Written by:
ABDULLAH BIN MAT NOOR

PREFACE

There are many ways we can do to spark pupils’ interests

in writing. One of the ways is engaging them in fun and unusual
writing activities. Writing can be more exciting if we take them
to all over the places. One of the great ways to travel to those
places is through Written Communication Project.

Written Communication Project is a pen-pal project. The

project is aimed at enabling pupils to write. Pupils will gain
benefits from this project. Not only can they make new friends,
pupils can learn about the mechanics of writing. During the
course of the project, pupils will be guided on how to write
varieties of texts in systematic manner.

Writing can be very difficult for them more so if it is not

mother-tongued language. However, it is made easy with
Funusual Writing Handbook. It is a personalized writing
instruction that contains examples, tips, tools, and resources. I
believe this handbook – the first of its kind, is very useful for the
all the pupils particularly the Level 2.

As for the Year 6 pupils, please take note! One of the

skills tested in Bahasa Inggeris (Penulisan) specifically
Question B(ii) is written communication or making choice and
giving reasons. You have to write one text type (letter, email,
postcard, ecard, speech, announcement, message, etc.) based
on the given stimulus. This handbook helps.
