Description:
The SFCU-B is a wellhead desander designed to
remove solids particles from oil and gas well
effluent. In order to avoid erosion, it is positioned as
close as possible to the wellhead (upstream the
choke manifold).
Separated sand can be flushed out after isolation
from process and depressurization.
The SFCU-B consists of three parts:
- A common base.
- A cyclone above the accumulator.
- A valve manifold.
For transport the cyclone/accumulator need to be
swapped from vertical to horizontal.
Performance is largely dependant on effluent
conditions such as particle size distribution, effluent
to particle density contrast, effluent viscosity and
inlet flowrate.
Tool needs to be by-passed in order to flush
solids. Continuous operation can be achieved
by having another SFCU-B in parallel.
