Introduction
“People enjoy our meat and our poultry, as i do as a consumer” (Johann
Baurer).
Poultry Farms are farms that raise chickens, turkeys, ducks, and other
birds for meat or egg production. In the past , poultry farming involved raising
chickens in the back yard for daily egg and family consumption. However,
poultry farming today is a huge business that is split into several operations
including hatcheries, pullet farms for meat productions, or farms for egg
production.
Chickens originated from jungle fowl in south eastern asia around 3200
BC (Dr. M. Farran, personal communication, 2009).Chickens were
domesticated and spread to China, India, Africa, Pacific island and Europe.
The main use of chickens has never changed. They were primarily raised for
human food. In addition, there feathers for making cushions, litter for
fertilizers, and in some societies, chickens were used in cockfighting as a
source of entertainment.
As the human population increases, the poultry industry continues to grow
to meet the demand for poultry products in the world markets. The importance
of poultry farms lies in the quality of products that are provided to humans.
Broiler farms provide meat that supplies the human body with high quality of
proteins. Poultry farms are fast- paced operations that can fulfill the demand
for meat and eggs and can be expanded easily to meet the ever – growing
demand.
Chickens are fast growing animals. In the past, it took about four months a
two kilogram of chicken. However, today a 1-1.2 kilogram chicken can be
produced in 30 days. Due to this fact, a better understanding of husbandry
practices, and use of new technologies, poultry farms can be profitable
enterprises.
Each operation in the poultry business has become a huge business by
itself. Some farms specialize in producing eggs for market consumption, for
hatching for the purpose of meat production. Many large farms specialized. I
raising broilers for meat productions. Other businesses are focused on feed
preparation or using the wastes of poultry farms for compost production and
fertilizing farmlands. If managed and marketed well, all segments of the
poultry business can be profitable.
At the end of the 5th year the project shall:
A. Gain about 50% of the total profitability base on broiler production in
Misamis Oriental,
B. Provide job opportunities, food consumption and market growth in
Misamis Oriental and;
C. Serve as a good reference for agriculturist as well as farmers who want
to engage broiler production.

B.1 The proposed business name is JNF Supermanok Agro-venture business.
B.2 The reasons of choosing the business name are first, JNF is the combination
of our names; Second Supermanok is a catchy term for our product which is
chicken; lastly, Agro-ventures is known to be the largest company in the world in
the field of agriculture. Since the Agro Venture Company will be engaged in
raising and selling good quality of chicken and its by-products and it will serve
the demand of poultry meat in Misamis Oriental and probably the neighboring
municipalities in Claveria.
C. Type of Business Organization
C.1 The proposed type of business organization is Partnership.
C.2 the following are the reasons of choosing the type of business organization are:
A. Business organization in which two or more individual’s pool knowledge, money,
skills, candidates, and resources regardless of the partnership agreement.
B. A partnership is generally easier to form, manage and run.
C. Business organization is easy to establish its because more participants will work
together in running the business.

D.1 The proposed location is located at Zone-1 Patrocinio, Claveria, Misamis Oriental.
D.2 The proposed project is located at an accessible area. The place is spacious and
surrounded by tress which is appropriate to relieve the chicken from stress and diseases.
Besides, the project is easy to access with water and electricity, and the farm to market
road is good.
