5-Minute Trading Strategies Explained

This document describes a 5-minute trading strategy presented at booth 6419. It involves buying or shorting a stock based on whether the first 5-minute bar of that stock matches the direction of the first 5-minute bar of the overall market. Profits are taken on half the position after a two bar move in the direction of the trade. The other half uses a boom or bust approach with a break even stop. Real examples of trades using this strategy on 5-minute charts are provided. Advanced 5-minute trading strategies are also mentioned.
