GOD IS STILL THE BEST DOCTOR AND PRAYER IS STILL THE BEST MEDICINE

possible, may this cup pass me by. Yet not my will, but thy will be done.”

Gal 6: 7-9 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also
reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows
to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due
season we will reap, if we do not give up.

the gift of God, not a result of works, lest any man should boast.

Mat 10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents,
and harmless as doves.

2 Tim 3: 16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof,
for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

The Armor of God

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you
can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but
against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the
spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when
the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to
stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of
righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of
peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the
flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is
the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be
alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. 19 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak,
words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I
am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

Psalm 149:6-9 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; To
execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;

To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute upon them the
judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord.

Psalm 107:20 He sent forth his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

Proverbs 3:5-8  Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all
your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes.
Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength
for your bones.

Proverbs 4:20-22 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

Isiah 53:5 But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities: The
chastisement that brought us peace was upon Him; and by His stripes we are healed.

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against
thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their
righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.
Isiah 55:10-11 As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without
watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, such that it yields seed for the sower and bread for
the eater, So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me void, but will
accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Mark 16:17-18 These signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will cast out

recover.”

Confession (bold proclamations) for Healing – John Hagee.

Lord Jesus Christ, I make this confession in faith, believing that you are my Lord and Saviour, you are
my great physician, you are my Healer. By your stripes I am now being healed, by your precious
blood I have victory over every sickness and disease.
Father GOD you have set before me life and death, I choose life. You have set before me blessings
and curses, I choose Blessings. I will not fear because you are with me. Your word is my strength, my
fortress, my high tower. My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. I will praise you; I will give you
thanks, I will declare your greatness and bless your name forever. For those who wait upon the
LORD, shall renew their strength, they shall mount on wings like eagles, they shall run and not be
weary, they shall walk and not faint. I shall live and not die and declare the works of the LORD in the
land of the living. Amen.
Hallelujah to the lamb of God. Give the Lord praise in the house of God.

Confession (bold proclamations) for guidance and protection – John Hagee.

Father GOD I make this proclamation in faith believing the LORD is my light and my salvation,
whom shall, I fear. The LORD is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid. When the wicked
come against me, to eat up my flesh, my enemies and my foes stumble and fell. Though an army shall
encamp against me; my heart shall not fear. Though wars should rise up against me, in this will I be
confident that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life. For in the day of trouble
he shall hide me in his pavilion. He shall set me high on a rock and my head shall be lifted up above
all my enemies. Therefore I will sacrifice, the sacrifice of joy in his tabernacle. I will sing praises unto
the LORD for he is my GOD and my deliverer. Amen.
Hallelujah to the lamb of God. Give the Lord praise in the house of God.

Confession (bold proclamations) for provision and prosperity – John Hagee.

Father GOD, I make this proclamation in faith believing, it is the LORD that gives me power to get
wealth. It is the LORD that shall plant me by rivers of living waters. My leaves shall not wither and
whatsoever I shall do shall prosper. He shall make the head and not the tail. He shall give me houses I
did not build, vineyards I did not plant, wells I did not dig because I have honoured the LORD with
my living and giving. The harvest will return to me with exceeding abundance. Above all I can ask or
imagine, pressed down, shaken together and running over. I will be blessed in my going in and
coming out. I will be blessed in my basket and store. My harvest is coming, an abundant harvest. The
giver of every good and perfect gift is LORD of my life and I receive divine abundance in Jesus
name. Amen.
Hallelujah to the lamb of God. Give the Lord praise in the house of God.

Blessings - John Hagee.

And now may the LORD bless you and keep you, and may He make his face to shine upon you. May
the LORD be gracious unto you and give you His peace. May you walk in His power proclaiming the
promises found in His word to conquer every demonic thing that comes against you. May His word
bring healing to your body and strength to your bones. GOD’s promises conquer every form of
sickness and disease, they put your enemies to shame. Begin speaking GOD’s living word to conquer
lack or want, because He is the King of the Universe. He is the yes and the amen. May your life be
blessed by joy unspeakable as these promises ring true and His holy spirit invades your life, in the
mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord that we pray. Amen.
Hallelujah to the lamb of God. Give the Lord praise in the house of God.

Numbers 6”23-27 May the LORD bless you and protect you. May the LORD smile on you and be
gracious to you. May the LORD show you his favor and give you his peace.’

Blessed are you, O Lord our GOD, supreme and sovereign King of the Universe. Blessed be your
Holy Name, blessed be your Holy Son, Lord Jesus our saviour; and blessed be your Holy Spirit my
advocate, my helper. Blessed and Holy O Lord, are your works, your kingdom, your chosen and
anointed one’s. Dear Lord, bless this meal that we receive out of thy bounty, thy abundance. Bless us,
too. May your word bring health to our body and strength to our bones. May our eyes be undimmed
and may our vigour be unabated. Dear Lord, make my days useful, my nights restful, my home
peaceful and my efforts fruitful. GOD is my Father, Jesus my saviour, the Holy Spirit my helper
and Heaven is my home. In the mighty name of Lord Jesus Christ, I pray. Thank you, Father. Thank
you, Lord.
Hallelujah to the lamb of God. Give the Lord praise in the house of God.

Heavenly Father, hear our prayer. In the name of Jesus, in faith believing we bind the prince of
darkness that we may have liberty, peace and prosperity in our nation. Let a spiritual awakening
come to our nation. Let us experience a starburst of the amazing light and grace of the gospel. Let
corruption be exposed. Let criminals and liars be driven out from public office. Let GOD arise and let
his enemies be scattered. let those that hate him flee before him. As smoke is driven away, so drive
them away: as wax melts before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God. But let the
righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yes, let them exceedingly rejoice. In the mighty name
of Lord Jesus Christ, I pray.. Amen.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I confess your word concerning healing, As I do this, I believe and say
that your word will not return void, but will accomplish what it says it will Therefore I believe in the
name of Jesus that I am being healed as I hear the word of God. It is written in your word that Jesus
himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses, therefore with great boldness and confidence I
say on the authority of the written word of God that I am redeemed from the curse of sickness and I
refuse to tolerate its symptoms.
Satan, I speak to you in the name of Jesus and say that your principalities and powers, your spirits of
darkness and your spiritual wickedness in heavenly places are bound from operating against me in
any way. I am the property of the Lord Jesus Christ. I am a child of God and I give you no place in
me. I dwell in the secret place of the Most High God. I abide, I remain stable and fixed under the
shadow of the Almighty. His power is in me and no foe can withstand me.
Now, Father, because I reverence and worship you, I have the assurance of your word that the angel
of the Lord encamps round about me and delivers me from every evil work. No evil shall befall me No
plague nor calamity shall come near my dwelling. I confess that the word of God abides in me and
produces in me perfect soundness of mind and wholeness in body and spirit, from the deepest parts of
my nature in my immortal spirit, even to the joints and marrow of my bones. That the word of God is
medication and life to my flesh, for the law of the spirit of life operates in me and makes me free from
the law of sin and death.
I have on the whole armor of God and the shield of faith protects me from all the fiery darts of the
wicked one. Jesus is my high priest who hears my confession and I hold fast to this confession of faith
through the word of God. I stand immovable and fixed and I full assurance that I have health and
healing in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, that my healing has been purchased through the blood
of Jesus Christ and that as I hear these healing scriptures, the anointing power of the Lord is being
released into my life to bring me divine health.”
OVERCOME YOUR FEAR – T.B. Joshua
Exodus 14:13 – “Moses answered the people, ‘Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the
deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again.
The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still."

When Moses said, “Don’t be afraid”, he equally meant to say, “Overcome your fear” for fear is a
thief of faith and hope. When our troubles seem unyielding to our prayers, it is in our own interest to
get above our fear by leaving it to God. Don’t think of saving yourself by fighting a natural battle!
‘Be still’, means, ‘be calm, confident and determined’. God does not need our effort or assistance to
carry out His promises of deliverance.

PRAYER POINTS:
Lord, let the enemy see Your finger in my life, get frustrated and surrender, because You have set a
table before me in the presence of my enemy.
Lord give me the grace to always cast my burdens upon thee, as Moses did in his encounter with the
Egyptian army at the Red Sea.
Lord, in my encounter with the evil forces, teach me the way I should go as You did for the Israelites
at the Red Sea.
Save me from the wicked plans of my adversaries as You did for Daniel in the lions’ den.
Deliver me from every generational curse as You did for Jabez.
Lord, give me power to face all the challenges of the enemy, in the name of Jesus.
I loose myself from the bondage of fear, in the mighty name of Lord Jesus’ Amen!

Now as I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake I pray to
GOD my soul to take. If I should live for other days, I pray the Lord to guide my ways.

Proverbs 6:16-19 There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him:
haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up
conflict in the community.

2 Chronicles 7:14, we're taught to be humble and repent when seeking the Lord. "If my people who
are called by My name humble themselves, and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked
ways, then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is
being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of
glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are
unseen. For the things that are seen are temporary, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

2 Chronicles 16:9 For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to strengthen
those heart is true to him.

Psalm 103 "Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise His holy name. Praise the Lord, my
soul, and forget not all His benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who
redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires
with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagles."

2 Timothy 3: 1-5 But mark this, that in the last days there will come terrible times. For people will
be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful,
unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous,
reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of
godliness, but denying its power. Avoid and have nothing to do with such people.
John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise
him up at the last day.

Psalm 3: 7-8 Arise, O Lord! Save me, O my God! For you strike all my enemies on the cheek;
you have shattered the teeth of the wicked. Salvation belongs to the Lord; your blessing be upon your
people!

Gal 1:8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we
preached to you, let him be accursed.

“It is not easy to find a name that will suitably express so great an excellence, unless it is better to
speak in this way:
The Trinity, one God, of whom are all things, through whom are all things, in whom are all things.
Thus, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and each of these by Himself, is God, and at the
same time They are all one God; and each of Them by Himself is a complete substance, and yet They
are all one substance.

The Father is not the Son nor the Holy Spirit; the Son is not the Father nor the Holy Spirit; the Holy
Spirit is not the Father nor the Son: but the Father is only Father, the Son is only Son, and the Holy
Spirit is only Holy Spirit. To all Three belong the same eternity, the same unchangeableness, the same
majesty, the same power.

In the Father is unity, in the Son equality, in the Holy Spirit the harmony of unity and equality. And
these three attributes are all one because of the Father, all equal because of the Son, and all
harmonious because of the Holy Spirit.”

BORN AGAIN Prayer – Tim Delina

Dear Lord JESUS, I believe that you are the son of GOD.
I believe that on the cross, you took my sin, my shame, my guilt and you died for it.
You faced hell for me so I would not have to go.
You rose from the dead to give me a place in heaven, a purpose on earth and a relationship with the
FATHER.
Today Lord JESUS, I turn from my sin to be born again
GOD is my Father, JESUS my saviour, the HOLY SPIRIT my helper and heaven is my home.
In JESUS name, AMEN.

I said to the man who stood at the Gate of the Year,

“Give me a light that I may tread safely into the unknown.”
And he replied, “Go out into the darkness, and put your hand into the hand of God.
That shall be to you better than light, and safer than a known way.”
May that Almighty hand guide and uphold us all.

Lord Jesus, heal me. Heal in me whatever You see needs healing. Heal me of whatever might separate
me from you. Heal my memory, heal my heart, heal my emotions, heal my spirit, heal my body and
heal my soul. Lay Your hands gently upon me and Heal me through Your love for me. Amen.

Lord, I am praying for what only You can do. I am praying for a miracle. I know the source from
which it will come. I trust in You to send me a sign. Teach me dear Lord to know wonder. And, if
You are willing, I am waiting, ready to receive my miracle today. Amen.

Dear God, in the name of Jesus, we ask that You come against strongholds, demonic influences,
spiritual attacks, and bondages. We believe you have the miraculous power and strength to conquer
the darkest enemy, break the strongest barrier, and silence the greatest deceiver. Your name is
Worthy, Glorious, Almighty in power and we claim victory today in Your name. Send Your mightiest
warriors to fight this battle for us. Lord, to You the darkness shines as bright as the day. Shine Your
light upon us, free us, give us peace, and snatch us back from the enemy’s grip. Amen.

Heavenly Father, I feel like giving up. Help me to remember the reason I began. Help me to see the
purpose behind Your plan. Provide the necessary grace. Keep me set upon Your face, to find strength
for the next step, to discover faith to keep trying and to believe that miracles are possible today and in
all circumstances. Amen.

believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be
saved.
Rom 10:10 For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is
justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly
and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation.
Rom 10:11 The Scripture says, No man who believes in Him [who adheres to, relies on, and trusts in
Him] will [ever] be put to shame or be disappointed.

the] Spirit of God can say, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is [my] Lord,” except by [the
power and influence of] the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 27:4 I live in the house of the LORD

How can I talk sickness when the Bible says in Isaiah 53:5 that by His wounds, I am healed?
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing];
The punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him,
And by His stripes (wounds) we are healed.
How can I talk weakness when the Bible says in Psalm 27:1 that my God is the strength of my life?
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid?
How can I talk defeat when the Bible says in Romans 8:37 that we are more than conquerors through
Christ?
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory
through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us].
How can I talk bondage when the Bible says in John 8:36 that the Son has set me free?
So if the Son makes you free, then you are unquestionably free.
How can I talk lack when the Bible says in Philippians 4:19 that my God shall supply all my needs?
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Exodus 34: 5 Then the Lord descended in the cloud and stood there with Moses as he proclaimed the
Name of the Lord.
6 Then the Lord passed by in front of him, and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord God, compassionate
and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in loving kindness and truth (faithfulness);
7 keeping mercy and lovingkindness for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin; but
He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, visiting (avenging) the iniquity (sin, guilt) of the
fathers upon the children and the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations [that is, calling the
children to account for the sins of their fathers].”

"Dear God,
I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness.
I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died
for my sin and that you raised Him to life.
I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord,
from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will.
I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen."
God’s Medicine Bottle

Proverbs 4:20–22
My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes;
keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all
their flesh.

John 10:10 (NASB): “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have
life, and have it abundantly.”

Lord, as You know, I am facing some stiff attacks upon my health and well-being. I now
see the need to pray more forcefully, invoking the name of Jesus in my battle against the
enemy. I commit myself to pray in this way in the days, weeks and months ahead.

I will also move forward in faith at Your direction. Please give me wisdom and
guidance in what to do and how to do it. If there is a specific step I need to take, I am
willing to take it, Lord. If there is someone I need to forgive, a behaviour pattern I need
to change, a spiritual adjustment I need to make, please show it to me. In response, I
will take that step in obedience to You, Lord.

Now I want to make a strong declaration. In the name of Jesus, I release myself
from the enemy’s attacks upon my physical well-being. In the name of Jesus, I receive
the healing and health that is God’s provision for me and for my loved ones. I stand
now in the freedom from sickness that Jesus purchased for me on the cross. In the name
of Jesus, I am healed. Amen.

Dear Friend,
Are you and your loved ones experiencing physical ailments? Do you feel like your health is under
attack from the enemy? Is illness dogging your steps, robbing you and those whom you love of
vitality and productivity?

Attacks upon our physical health are a primary strategy Satan uses to discourage us and deter us
from fulfilling God’s purpose for our lives. But how do we counteract such attacks? What weapons
can we use to fight back against the enemy and his attempts to put us on the sidelines through physical
impairment?

I hope what we share will encourage you in whatever health challenges you face—as we focus in
this letter on healing in Jesus’ name.
A Key Ingredient
You may be saying to yourself, “Isn’t this a pretty basic principle? Everyone knows that
miraculous healing only comes to us in the name of Jesus.” I agree completely. However, let me share
how the Lord brought a renewed appreciation of this wonderful truth.

Prior to one of our recent staff prayer gatherings, my thoughts were focused on a desperate healing
need facing the sister of one of our employees. This brave woman had been undergoing chemotherapy
to treat the cancer attacking her—and we had been praying regularly for her. As I reflected on all she
had been facing, an unbidden thought crossed my mind: “Her healing will come as you pray for her in
the name of Jesus.”

When I shared this impression with the staff, we focused our time of worship on “the name of
Jesus,” and then carried that emphasis into our corporate intercession for her. All I can say is that
when we shifted to that focus, there was an added, palpable sense of victory as we prayed anew in the
name of Jesus.

Beyond Human Ability
This theme of the unique healing power of Jesus’ name is illustrated by a dramatic incident from
Acts 3. As Peter and John were about to enter the temple, they encountered a beggar who had been
lame from birth. Under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Peter said to this man, “Silver and gold I do
not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk” (v.
6).

The result of that proclamation was immediate and powerful. This man who had once been a lame
beggar began “…walking, leaping and praising God” (v. 8). When Peter was later questioned about
the healing miracle, he responded with these words: “Men of Israel, why are you amazed at this, or
why do you gaze at us, as if by our own power or piety we had made him walk?….It is the name of
Jesus which has strengthened this man whom you see and know, and the faith which comes through
Him [Jesus] has given him this perfect health in the presence of you all” (vv. 12, 16, NASB).

Dispelling any tendency to credit human ability with the healing, Peter instead cited one factor—
and one factor only—that brought it about: the name of Jesus.

Take a moment now and consider this incident from Acts 3 in light of the health battles you have
been fighting. Could specific, concerted prayer in the name of Jesus be a missing element? Might this
be a factor that could make a significant difference in your situation?

A Step of Faith
Derek Prince taught extensively about God’s desire to heal us and bring us into consistent good
health. In most of those teachings, including the excerpt below from Derek’s message, “Gifts of
Healing and Working of Miracles,” a step of faith on our part is required.

Then in Acts 3:2–8 we have the miracle of the man who was born lame and never had walked. He
was sitting at the Beautiful Gate of the temple, saw Peter and John coming, and stretched out his hand
expecting to receive an offering. Peter said, “Silver and gold have I none, but such as I have give I
unto thee.”

Of course, we have to recognize one thing: you can’t give it if you don’t have it. The trouble with
so many of us today is we don’t have much to give. But Peter said, “I don’t have silver, and I don’t
have gold; but what I do have I will give you. In the name of Jesus, rise up and walk.” The man was
still sitting there, and Peter stretched out his hand and lifted him up. When the man began to rise up,
he was healed.

It is most important to see that people very rarely receive anything by just sitting passively. To sit
still is to die. You have to do something to exercise your faith. Faith without works, without
corresponding acts, is dead.

I have learned again and again that the crucial point in a miracle is getting the person to do the
little act that starts their faith moving. It may be something simple. It may be something ridiculous. It
doesn’t much matter what it is in many cases. But the moment they begin to act, things begin to
happen.

Peter did not allow the man just to sit there, simply saying to him, “You’re healed.” But he [Peter]
started to lift him up, and as the man responded, in that moment of acting, the supernatural power of
God straightened out those ankles and legs.

A Beginning Proclamation
Are you willing to take the initial step of faith Derek talked about? Although there is no guarantee
of immediate results, you and I probably won’t see any outcome without taking a step of faith, will
we? Something may happen instantaneously—and that would be wonderful. Or, it may take a while to
see results. Either way, let’s begin the process today.

If you are ready to take a step of faith, let’s make the following declaration together:

Lord, as You know, I am facing some stiff attacks upon my health and well-being. I now see the
need to pray more forcefully, invoking the name of Jesus in my battle against the enemy. I commit
myself to pray in this way in the days, weeks and months ahead.

I will also move forward in faith at Your direction. Please give me wisdom and guidance in what
to do and how to do it. If there is a specific step I need to take, I am willing to take it, Lord. If there is
someone I need to forgive, a behavior pattern I need to change, a spiritual adjustment I need to make,
please show it to me. In response, I will take that step in obedience to You, Lord.

Now I want to make a strong declaration. In the name of Jesus, I release myself from the enemy’s
attacks upon my physical well-being. In the name of Jesus, I receive the healing and health that is
God’s provision for me and for my loved ones. I stand now in the freedom from sickness that Jesus
purchased for me on the cross. In the name of Jesus, I am healed. Amen.

A New Understanding
It’s possible that this may be the first time you have specifically incorporated the name of Jesus in
your prayers for healing and health. On the other hand, this letter may have simply served as a helpful
reminder of a truth you already firmly believe—putting it into practice with renewed fervor. Either
way, we want to thank you for taking this step of faith today. Our hope is it that it will yield
wonderful fruit in your life.

As always, we want to stand with you in your renewed commitment to pray in this powerful way.
Solid teaching will help enormously—and here at Derek Prince Ministries, we have an abundance to
make available to you. To start, we want to offer you the complete message from which Derek’s
excerpt was drawn: the teaching entitled “Gifts of Healing and Working of Miracles.” It is packed
with comprehensive wisdom and truth, and it is yours; just use the download link below.

How are we are able to continue providing Derek Prince’s helpful materials to so many? It is
possible because of the generous prayers and financial gifts of the people who have been touched by
this ministry. We are incredibly thankful to all who are standing with us in this way, and we send our
love and blessings for your support.

Put It into Practice
In the weeks and months ahead, the commitment you have made today may be put to the test. Jesus
said it so clearly in John 10:10 (NASB): “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came
that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” Whenever you and I take any step of faith, Satan is
right there to oppose us and discourage us.

Though the enemy will do his utmost to poison your health and steal your vitality, we can resist
him. How? By turning our full attention to Jesus, trusting completely in the One who has promised to
provide us with life in abundance—and that includes robust health.

How do we incorporate these principles into everyday life? By regularly declaring, proclaiming
and praying in the name of Jesus. And when it comes to any sickness and physical oppression the
enemy would try to place upon us, we actively fight against it, choosing and proclaiming the abundant
health Jesus promises to give us.

At all times, and especially when the enemy tries to bring an attack upon our physical well-being,
we claim what has been promised to us as believers—healing in Jesus’ name!

All the best,

1 Cor 15: 1-5 Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which
you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold
firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I
passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,  that
he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to
Cephas, and then to the Twelve.

ON PRAYER
How not to pray:
Mat 6:5-8 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the
synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their
reward in full.  But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is
unseen. Then you’re Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.  And when you pray, do
not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do
not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

What is prayer?
1. Worship
Isa 44:17 From the rest he makes a god, his idol; he bows down to it and worships.
He prays to it and says, “Save me! You are my god!”

2. Seeking GOD [spending time with GOD]

Dan 9:3 So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting,
and in sackcloth and ashes.

3. Privilege
Heb 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy,
and find grace to help in time of need.

John 9:31 Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God
and does His will, He hears him.

Pro 28:9 One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer is an
abomination.

Psa 66:18 If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.

Pro 1:28-31 Then they will call upon me, but I will not answer; they will seek me diligently
but will not find me. Because they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of the LORD,
would have none of my counsel and despised all my reproof therefore they shall eat the fruit
of their way, and have their fill of their own devices.

Kinds of prayers:
1. Supplication (supply your needs; not your wants)
Eph 6:18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep
alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,
Phi 6:18 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with
thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Phi 4:19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in
Christ Jesus.
1 Tim 6: 7-10 for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the
world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. But those who desire
to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that
plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils.
2. Intercession
1 Tim 2:1 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings
be made for all people,

3. Thanksgiving
Col 4:2 Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.

Col 3:15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in
one body. And be ye thankful.

Col 3:17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God the Father through him.

4. Claiming of promises
2 Pet 1:4 by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through
them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that
is in the world because of sinful desire.

5. Instant in prayer
Rom 12:12 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing instant in prayer
When to pray:
1. Early in the morning
Psa 63:1 O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh
longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water.

Psa 5:3 My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; In the morning I will direct it to
You,
And I will look up.

2. Before we eat
1 Tim 4: 3-5 forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath
created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For every
creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused if it be received with thanksgiving;  for it is
sanctified by the Word of God and prayer.

3. When tempted
Mark 14:3-38 Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but
the flesh is weak.”
1 Cor 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God
is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are
tempted he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

4. During hard times (in distress)

Psa 120:1 I call on the LORD in my distress, and he answers me.
Eph 6: 12-18 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the
authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the
heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes,
you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand
firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of
righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel
of peace.  In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all
the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit,
which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and
requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Mark 15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be
condemned.

will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues;
they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will
not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”

DELIVERANCE PRAYERS to be said OUT LOUD in the "privacy" of your car, bathroom, closet,
bedroom, back yard, prison cell, anywhere. Get in the HABIT of praying OUT LOUD to the Lord.
Notice that most deliverance prayers are spoken COMMANDS to the enemy, in the name of Jesus
rather than requests to Jesus or God.

DELIVERANCE PRAYER FOR A BELIEVER IN JESUS

IN THE NAME OF JESUS, I BIND you evil spirit of ________________________________
I CAST you out and place you under the feet of Jesus Christ. I command you never to return.

COMMAND Prayer - for self

In the name of Jesus Christ, I cut all demons from communication and help from other
demons and from Satan. In the name of Jesus, I pray that they will enter into confusion of their own
and truly be weakened.
In the name of Jesus, I pray for a strengthening of faith in Christ. In the name of Jesus, I pray to trust
God's Word. In the name of Jesus, I pray to distinguish between the thoughts - of Satan (and/or his
demons), my own, and God's. In the name of Jesus, I pray for Godly counsel and help.
In the name of Jesus, I pray for God's angelic protection to break up every scheme of the enemy.
Thank You, in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

PROTECTION Prayer - for self

Oh, Holy Spirit, do not abandon me in these times of difficulty. I know that Satan goes around like a
hunter. He never tires his search to have me fall prey to him. If he is able to strike at my hope, then
my love for You fades. If my love for You fades, so does my faith in You.
Console me, Holy Spirit. Help me. Protect me always. Holy Spirit let me rejoice in You forever.
Possess me completely. Prune me gently, oh Spirit of God, wherever it is necessary, so that I may
bear much fruit in my life. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

After sprinkling blessed salt/water one can pray, "In the name of the Father, Son Jesus Christ, and
Holy Spirit, I command all evil to leave and never return. Jesus Christ please be present and remain."

Many people pray incorrectly; they demand of God rather than demand of Satan. If we do not take
authority over evil, then Satan will/may take authority over/for us. If we do not choose, then Satan
will/may choose for us. [It is sort of like failing to vote. We lose by default/ negligence/omission. Life
is sort of like a football team. Either we play the defence or we play the offense. It is the offensive
side who carries the ball, who makes the goal, who scores the points.
Perhaps an offensive prayer would go like this, "In the name of Jesus, 'Satan, take your hands off
___________ .' The word of God says, '________________________________'. Satan, 'you have to
obey the word of God.'" Additionally we can speak to negative situations and tell them to go in the
name of Jesus, based scripture which says _____________________________________(as relevant
to that specific problem). Then we thank God that it is now accomplished/ in His hands/ not in our
hands. Remember each generation is to claim what is already accomplished/done by Christ 2000 years
ago. Anger should always be at evil and NOT at a person or at God.

1 Corinthians 15: 1 Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you,
which you received and on which you have taken your stand.
2 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have
believed in vain.
3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according
to the Scriptures,
4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,
Romans 14: 17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness,
peace and joy in the Holy Spirit,

1 Peter 1: 23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the
living and enduring word of God.
24 For, “All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers
and the flowers fall,
25 but the word of the Lord endures forever.” And this is the word that was preached to you.

Ephesians 1: 13 In Him, you also, when you heard the word of truth, the good news of your salvation,
and [as a result] believed in Him, were stamped with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit [the One
promised by Christ] as owned and protected [by God].
14 The Spirit is the guarantee [the first instalment, the pledge, a foretaste] of our inheritance until the
redemption of God’s own [purchased] possession [His believers], to the praise of His glory.

1 Corinthians 3: 16 Do you not know and understand that you [the church] are the temple of God, and
that the Spirit of God dwells [permanently] in you [collectively and individually]?
17 If anyone destroys the temple of God [corrupting it with false doctrine], God will destroy the
destroyer; for the temple of God is holy (sacred), and that is what you are.

Romans 8: 11 And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, He who raised
Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in
you.

Ephesians 4: 13 until we all reach oneness in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God,
[growing spiritually] to become a mature believer, reaching to the measure of the fullness of Christ
[manifesting His spiritual completeness and exercising our spiritual gifts in unity].

1 Thessalonians 4: 7 For God has not called us to impurity, but to holiness [to be dedicated, and set
apart by behaviour that pleases Him, whether in public or in private].
8 So whoever rejects and disregards this is not [merely] rejecting man but the God who gives His
Holy Spirit to you [to dwell in you and empower you to overcome temptation].

2 Cor 5: 17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as
Saviour], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous
moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual
awakening brings a new life].

1 Thes 5: 23  Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you through and through [that is, separate
you from profane and vulgar things, make you pure and whole and undamaged—consecrated to Him
—set apart for His purpose]; and may your spirit and soul and body be kept complete and [be found]
blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 John 5: 1 Everyone who believes [with a deep, abiding trust in the fact] that Jesus is the Christ (the
Messiah, the Anointed) is born of God [that is, reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed,
and set apart for His purpose], and everyone who loves the Father also loves the child born of Him.
2 By this we know [without any doubt] that we love the children of God: [expressing that love] when
we love God and obey His commandments.
3 For the [true] love of God is this: that we habitually keep His commandments and remain focused
on His precepts. And His commandments and His precepts are not difficult [to obey].
4 For everyone born of God is victorious and overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has
conquered and overcome the world—our [continuing, persistent] faith [in Jesus the Son of God].
James 1: 18 It was of His own will that He gave us birth [as His children] by the word of truth, so that
we would be a kind of first fruits of His creatures [a prime example of what He created to be set apart
to Himself—sanctified, made holy for His divine purposes].

Romans 8: 26 In the same way the Spirit [comes to us and] helps us in our weakness. We do not know
what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but the Spirit Himself [knows our need and at the
right time] intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groaning’s too deep for words.
27 And He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because the Spirit intercedes
[before God] on behalf of God’s people in accordance with God’s will.
28 And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all
things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according
to His plan and purpose.
29 For those whom He foreknew [and loved and chose beforehand], He also predestined to be
conformed to the image of His Son [and ultimately share in His complete sanctification], so that He
would be the firstborn [the most beloved and honoured] among many believers.
30 And those whom He predestined, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified
[declared free of the guilt of sin]; and those whom He justified, He also glorified [raising them to a
heavenly dignity].
31 What then shall we say to all these things? If God is for us, who can be [successful] against us? 32
He who did not spare [even] His own Son, but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along
with Him, graciously give us all things?
33 Who will bring any charge against God’s elect (His chosen ones)? It is God who justifies us
[declaring us blameless and putting us in a right relationship with Himself].
34 Who is the one who condemns us? Christ Jesus is the One who died [to pay our penalty], and more
than that, who was raised [from the dead], and who is at the right hand of God interceding [with the
Father] for us.
35 Who shall ever separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or
famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?
36 Just as it is written and forever remains written, “For Your sake we are put to death all day long;
we are regarded as sheep for the slaughter.”
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through
Him who loved us [so much that He died for us].
38 For I am convinced [and continue to be convinced—beyond any doubt] that neither death, nor life,
nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers,
39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the [unlimited]
love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Col 1: 15 He is the exact living image [the essential manifestation] of the unseen God [the visible
representation of the invisible], the firstborn [the preeminent one, the sovereign, and the originator] of
all creation.
16 For by Him all things were created in heaven and on earth, [things] visible and invisible, whether
thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities; all things were created and exist through Him [that is, by
His activity] and for Him.
17 And He Himself existed and is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. [His is the
controlling, cohesive force of the universe.]
18 He is also the head [the life-source and leader] of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the
firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will occupy the first place [He will stand supreme and be
preeminent] in everything.
19 For it pleased the Father for all the fullness [of deity—the sum total of His essence, all His
perfection, powers, and attributes] to dwell [permanently] in Him (the Son),
20 and through [the intervention of] the Son to reconcile all things to Himself, making peace [with
believers] through the blood of His cross; through Him, [I say,] whether things on earth or things in
heaven.

1 Cor 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the [Holy] Spirit who is from God, so
that we may know and understand the [wonderful] things freely given to us by God.
13 We also speak of these things, not in words taught or supplied by human wisdom, but in those
taught by the Spirit, combining and interpreting spiritual thoughts with spiritual words [for those
being guided by the Holy Spirit].
14 But the natural [unbelieving] man does not accept the things [the teachings and revelations] of the
Spirit of God, for they are foolishness [absurd and illogical] to him; and he is incapable of
understanding them, because they are spiritually discerned and appreciated, [and he is unqualified to
judge spiritual matters].
15 But the spiritual man [the spiritually mature Christian] judges all things [questions, examines and
applies what the Holy Spirit reveals], yet is himself judged by no one [the unbeliever cannot judge
and understand the believer’s spiritual nature].
16 For who has known the mind and purposes of the Lord, so as to instruct Him? But we have the
mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes].

John 1: 12 But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the right [the authority, the
privilege] to become children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on)
His name—
13 who were born, not of blood [natural conception], nor of the will of the flesh [physical impulse],
nor of the will of man [that of a natural father], but of God [that is, a divine and supernatural birth—
they are born of God—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified].

John 3: 5 Jesus answered, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless one is born of water and
the Spirit he cannot [ever] enter the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh [the physical is merely physical], and that which is born of
the Spirit is spirit.
7 Do not be surprised that I have told you, ‘You must be born again [reborn from above—spiritually
transformed, renewed, sanctified].’
8 The wind blows where it wishes and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it is coming
from and where it is going; so it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

John 3: 16  “For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One
and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but
have eternal life.
17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge and condemn the world [that is, to initiate the
final judgment of the world], but that the world might be saved through Him.
18 Whoever believes and has decided to trust in Him [as personal Savior and Lord] is not judged [for
this one, there is no judgment, no rejection, no condemnation]; but the one who does not believe [and
has decided to reject Him as personal Savior and Lord] is judged already [that one has been convicted
and sentenced], because he has not believed and trusted in the name of the [One and] only begotten
Son of God [the One who is truly unique, the only One of His kind, the One who alone can save him].

John3: 36 He who believes and trusts in the Son and accepts Him [as Savior] has eternal life [that is,
already possesses it]; but he who does not believe the Son and chooses to reject Him, [disobeying
Him and denying Him as Savior] will not see [eternal] life, but [instead] the wrath of God hangs over
him continually.”
Eph 2: 8 For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you
have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this
[salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift
of God;
9 not as a result of [your] works [nor your attempts to keep the Law], so that no one will [be able to]
boast or take credit in any way [for his salvation].
10 For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn
from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared
[for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life
which He prearranged and made ready for us].

Titus 3: 5 He saved us, not because of any works of righteousness that we have done, but because of
His own compassion and mercy, by the cleansing of the new birth (spiritual transformation,
regeneration) and renewing by the Holy Spirit,
6 whom He poured out richly upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior,
7 so that we would be justified [made free of the guilt of sin] by His [compassionate, undeserved]
grace, and that we would be [acknowledged as acceptable to Him and] made heirs of eternal life
[actually experiencing it] according to our hope (His guarantee).

1 John 4: 1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit [speaking through a self-proclaimed prophet]; instead
test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets and teachers have gone
out into the world.
2 By this you know and recognize the Spirit of God: every spirit that acknowledges and confesses
[the fact] that Jesus Christ has [actually] come in the flesh [as a man] is from God [God is its source];
3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus [acknowledging that He has come in the flesh, but would
deny any of the Son’s true nature] is not of God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have
heard is coming, and is now already in the world.

Holy spirit as water

Isiah 44: 3 ‘For I will pour out water on him who is thirsty, and streams on the dry ground;
I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring and My blessing on your descendants;

John 7: 37 Now on the last and most important day of the feast, Jesus stood and called out [in a loud
voice], “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink!
38 He who believes in Me [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Me], as the Scripture has said,
‘From his innermost being will flow continually rivers of living water.’”
39 But He was speaking of the [Holy] Spirit, whom those who believed in Him [as Savior] were to
receive afterward. The Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified (raised to
honor).

[the fact] that Jesus Christ has [actually] come in the flesh [as a man] is from God [God is its source];
3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus [acknowledging that He has come in the flesh, but would
deny any of the Son’s true nature] is not of God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have
heard is coming, and is now already in the world.
4 Little children (believers, dear ones), you are of God and you belong to Him and have [already]
overcome them [the agents of the antichrist]; because He who is in you is greater than he (Satan) who
is in the world [of sinful mankind].
Heaven, Worshiping God

Rev 4: 8 “Holy, Holy, Holy [is the] Lord God, the Almighty [the Omnipotent, the Ruler of all], who
was and who is and who is to come [the unchanging, eternal God].”
Rev 4: 11 “Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power; for
You created all things, and because of Your will they exist, and were created and brought into being.”

Rev 5: 12 “Worthy and deserving is the Lamb that was sacrificed to receive power and riches and
wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing.”

Rev 5: 13 “To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb (Christ), be blessing and honor and glory
and dominion forever and ever.”

Rev 15: 3 “Great and wonderful and awe-inspiring are Your works [in judgment],
O Lord God, the Almighty [the Omnipotent, the Ruler of all]; Righteous and true are Your ways,
O King of the nations!

Rev 15: 4 “Who will not fear [reverently] and glorify Your name, O Lord [giving You honor and
praise in worship]? For You alone are holy; For all the nations shall come and worship before You,
For Your righteous acts [Your just decrees and judgments] have been revealed and displayed.”

James 5: 13 Is anyone among you suffering? He must pray. Is anyone joyful? He is to sing praises [to
God].
14 Is anyone among you sick? He must call for the elders (spiritual leaders) of the church and they are
to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord;
15 and the prayer of faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he
has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one
another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man
(believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and
can have tremendous power].

Mark 11: 22 Jesus replied, “Have faith in God [constantly].

23 I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and
thrown into the sea!’ and does not doubt in his heart [in God’s unlimited power], but believes that
what he says is going to take place, it will be done for him [in accordance with God’s will].
24 For this reason I am telling you, whatever things you ask for in prayer [in accordance with God’s
will], believe [with confident trust] that you have received them, and they will be given to you.
25 Whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him [drop the issue, let
it go], so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions and wrongdoings
[against Him and others].
26 [But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your transgressions.”]

Matthew 10: 7 And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’
8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely
give.

Faith - GEORGE Müller

A Common Faith (1842)
I desire that all the children of God, who may read these details, may thereby be led to increased and
more simple confidence in God for everything which they may need under any circumstances, and
that these many answers to prayer may encourage them to pray, particularly as regards the conversion
of their friends and relatives, their own progress in grace and knowledge, the state of the saints whom
they may know personally, the state of the Church of God at large, and the success of the preaching of
the gospel. Especially I affectionately warn them against being led away by the device of Satan to
think that these things are peculiar to me and cannot be enjoyed by all the children of God; for though,
as has been stated before, every believer is not called upon to establish Orphan Houses, Charity
Schools, etc., and trust in the Lord for means, yet all believers are called upon, in the simple
confidence of faith, to cast all their burdens upon Him, to trust in Him for everything, and not only to
make everything a subject of prayer, but to expect answers to their petitions that they have asked
according to His will, and in the name of the Lord Jesus—Think not, dear reader, that I have the gift
of faith, that is, the gift of which we read in 1 Corinthians 12:9 and that is mentioned along with “the
gifts of healing,” “the working of miracles,” “prophecy”—and that on that account I am able to trust
in the Lord...
From my inmost soul I do ascribe it to God alone that He has enabled me to trust in Him, and that He
has not suffered my confidence in Him to fail. But I thought it needful to make these remarks, lest
anyone should think that my depending upon God was a particular gift given to me, which other saints
have no right to look for; or lest it should be thought that this, my depending upon Him, had only to
do with the obtaining of money by prayer and faith. By the grace of God I desire that my faith in God
should extend towards every thing: the smallest of my own temporal and spiritual concerns, and the
smallest of the temporal and spiritual concerns of my family, towards the saints among whom I labor,
the Church at large, everything that has to do with the temporal and spiritual prosperity of the
Scriptural Knowledge Institution, etc. Dear reader, do not think that I have attained in faith (and how
much less in other respects!) to that degree to which I might and ought to attain.
Lastly, let not Satan deceive you in making you think that you could not have the same faith, but that
it is only for persons who are situated as I am. When I lose such a thing as a key, I ask the Lord to
direct me to it, and I look for an answer to my prayer; when a person with whom I have made an
appointment does not come at the fixed time, and I begin to be inconvenienced by it, I ask the Lord to
be pleased to hasten him to me, and I look for an answer. When I do not understand a passage of the
Word of God, I lift up my heart to the Lord, that He would be pleased, by His Holy Spirit, to instruct
me, and I expect to be taught, though I do not fix the time when, and the manner how, it should be.
When I am going to minister in the Word, I seek help from the Lord, and while I, in the consciousness
of natural inability as well as utter unworthiness, begin this His service, I am not cast down, but of
good cheer, because I look for His assistance and believe that He, for His dear Son’s sake, will help
me. Oh! I beseech you, do not think me an extraordinary believer, having privileges above other of
God’s dear children that they cannot have; nor look on my way of acting as something that would not
do for other believers. Make but trial! Do but stand still in the hour of trial and you will see the help
of God, if you trust in Him. But there is so often a forsaking the ways of the Lord in the hour of trial,
and thus the food of faith, the means whereby our faith may be increased, is lost.
Strengthening Faith (1842)
This leads me to the following important point. You ask, “How may I, a true believer, have my faith
strengthened?” The answer is this:
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights,
with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” (Jam 1:17).
As the increase of faith is a good gift, it must come from God, and therefore He ought to be asked for
this blessing. The following means, however, ought to be used:
1. The careful reading of the Word of God, combined with meditation on it. Through reading of the
Word of God, and especially through meditation on the Word of God, the believer becomes more and
more acquainted with the nature and character of God, and thus sees more and more, besides His
holiness and justice, what a kind, loving, gracious, merciful, mighty, wise, and faithful Being He is.
Therefore, in poverty, affliction of body, bereavement in his family, difficulty in his service, want6 of
a situation or employment, he will repose upon the ability of God to help him, because he has not only
learned from His Word that He is of almighty power and infinite wisdom, but he has also seen
instance upon instance in the Holy Scriptures in which His almighty power and infinite wisdom have
been actually exercised in helping and delivering His people. He will repose upon the willingness of
God to help him, because he has not only learned from the Scriptures what a kind, good, merciful,
gracious, and faithful Being God is, but because he has also seen in the Word of God how in a great
variety of instances He has proved Himself to be so. And the consideration of this, if God has become
known to us through prayer and meditation on His own Word, will lead us, in general at least, with a
measure of confidence to rely upon Him. Thus meditation on the Word of God will be one special
means to strengthen our faith.
2. As with reference to the growth of every grace of the Spirit it is of the utmost importance that we
seek to maintain an upright heart and a good conscience, and therefore do not knowingly and
habitually indulge in those things which are contrary to the mind of God, so it is also particularly the
case with reference to the growth in faith. How can I possibly continue to act in faith upon God
concerning anything, if I am habitually grieving Him, and seek to detract from the glory and honor of
Him in whom I profess to trust, upon whom I profess to depend? All my confidence towards God, all
my leaning upon Him in the hour of trial, will be gone if I have a guilty conscience, and do not seek to
put away this guilty conscience but still continue to do things which are contrary to the mind of God.
And if, in any particular instance, I cannot trust in God because of the guilty conscience, then my faith
is weakened by that instance of distrust. For faith with every fresh trial of it, either increases by
trusting God and thus getting help, or it decreases by not trusting Him—and then there is less and less
power of looking simply and directly to Him, and a habit of self-dependence is begotten or
encouraged. One or the other of these will always be the case in each particular instance. Either we
trust in God, and in that case we neither trust in ourselves, nor in our fellowmen, nor in circumstances,
nor in anything besides; or we DO trust in one or more of these, and in that case do NOT trust in God.
3. If we, indeed, desire our faith to be strengthened, we should not shrink from opportunities where
our faith may be tried, and therefore, through the trial, be strengthened. In our natural state we dislike
dealing with God alone. Through our natural alienation from God we shrink from Him and from
eternal realities. This cleaves to us, more or less, even after our regeneration. Hence it is that more or
less, even as believers, we have the same shrinking from standing with God alone—from depending
upon Him alone, from looking to Him alone—and yet this is the very position in which we ought to
be if we wish our faith to be strengthened. The more I am in a position to be tried in faith with
reference to my body, my family, my service for the Lord, my business, etc., the more shall I have
opportunity of seeing God’s help and deliverance—and every fresh instance, in which He helps and
delivers me, will tend towards the increase of my faith. On this account, therefore, the believer should
not shrink from situations, positions, circumstances, in which his faith may be tried; but should
cheerfully embrace them as opportunities where he may see the hand of God stretched out on his
behalf to help and deliver him, and whereby he may thus have his faith strengthened.
4. The last important point for the strengthening of our faith is that we let God7 work for us, when the
hour of the trial of our faith comes, and do not work a deliverance of our own. Wherever God has
given faith, it is given, among other reasons, for the very purpose of being tried. Yea, however weak
our faith may be, God will try it—only with this restriction: that as in every way He leads on gently,
gradually, patiently, so also with reference to the trial of our faith. At first our faith will be tried very
little in comparison with what it may be afterwards, for God never lays more upon us than He is
willing to enable us to bear. Now when the trial of faith comes, we are naturally inclined to distrust
God, and to trust rather in ourselves, or in our friends, or in circumstances. We will rather work a
deliverance of our own somehow or other, than simply look to God and wait for His help. But if we
do not patiently wait for God’s help, if we work a deliverance of our own, then at the next trial of our
faith it will be thus again: we shall be again inclined to deliver ourselves—and thus, with every fresh
instance of that kind, our faith will decrease. Whilst, on the contrary, were we to stand still in order to
see the salvation of God, to see His hand stretched out on our behalf, trusting in Him alone, then our
faith would be increased; with every fresh case in which the hand of God is stretched out on our
behalf in the hour of the trial of our faith, our faith would be increased yet more. Would the believer,
therefore, have his faith strengthened, he must especially give time to God, Who tries his faith in
order to prove to His child, in the end, how willing He is to help and deliver him, the moment it is
good for him.

The Life of Faith (1855)

Excerpt taken from “The Autobiography of George Müller,” pp. 226-227
If anyone desires to live a life of faith and trust in God he must:
1. Not merely say that he trusts in God but must really do so. Often individuals profess to trust in
God, but they embrace every opportunity where they may directly or indirectly tell someone about
their need. I do not say it is wrong to make known our financial situation, but it hardly displays trust
in God to expose our needs for the sake of getting other people to help us. God will take us at our
word. If we do trust in Him, we must be satisfied to stand with Him alone.
2. The individual who desires to live this way must be content whether he is rich or poor. He must be
willing to live in abundance or in poverty. He must be willing to leave this world without any
possessions.
3. He must be willing to take the money in God’s way, not merely in large sums, but in small. Many
times I have had a single shilling given to me. To have refused such tokens of Christian love would
have been ungracious.
4. He must be willing to live as the Lord’s steward. If anyone does not give out of the blessings that
the Lord gives to him, then the Lord, Who influences the hearts of His children to give, would soon
cause those channels to be dried up. My good income increased even more when I determined that, by
God’s help, His poor and His work would be helped by my money. From that time on, the Lord was
pleased to entrust me with more.
The Faith Principles of Ministry (1824)
1. We consider every believer bound, in one way or other, to help the cause of Christ. We have
scriptural warrant for expecting the Lord’s blessing on our work of faith and labor of love. Although
according to Matthew 13:24-43, 2 Timothy 3:1-13, and many other passages, the world will not be
converted before the coming of our Lord Jesus, still, while He tarries, all scriptural means should be
employed for the ingathering of the elect of God.
2. The Lord helping us, we do not mean to seek the patronage of the world; i.e., we never intend to
ask unconverted persons of rank or wealth to support this institution, because this, we consider, would
be dishonorable to the Lord. “In the name of our God we will set up our banners” (Psa 20:5). He alone
shall be our patron. If He helps us we will prosper; if He is not on our side, we will not succeed.
3. We do not mean to ask unbelievers for money (2Co 6:14-18); though we do not feel ourselves
warranted to refuse their contributions, if they, of their own accord, should offer them (Act 28:2, 10).
4. We reject altogether the help of unbelievers in managing or carrying on the affairs of the institution
(2Co 6:14-18).
5. We intend never to enlarge the field of labor by contracting debts (Rom 13:8) and afterward
appealing to the Church of God for help, because this we consider to be opposed both to the letter and
the spirit of the New Testament. But in secret prayer, God helping us, we shall carry the wants of the
institution to the Lord, and act according to the means that God shall give.
6. We do not mean to reckon the success of the institution by the amount of money given or the
number of Bibles distributed, but by the Lord’s blessing on the work (Zec 4:6)—and we expect this in
the proportion in which He shall help us to wait upon Him in prayer.
7. While we would avoid needless separation, we desire to go on simply according to Scripture
without compromising the truth; at the same time thankfully receiving any instruction which
experienced believers, after prayer upon scriptural ground, may have to give us concerning the
institution.

A. W. Tozer Sermon: Christ Made the World

Think about the world into which our Lord Jesus Christ came-it is actually Christ's world! Every
section of this earth that we buy and sell and kick around and take by force of arms is a part of Christ's
world. He made it all and He owns it all. Jesus Christ, the eternal Word, made the world. He made the
very atoms of which Mary was made; the atoms of which His own body was made. He made the
straw in the manger upon which He was laid as a new-born baby. Let me digress here. I hear an
occasional devotional exercise on the radio, in which the participants ask: "Mary, mother of God, pray
for us!" It is only right that we should express our position based on the Word of God, and the truth is
that Mary is dead and she is not the "mother of God." Mary was the mother of that tiny babe, for God
in His loving and wise plan of redemption used the body of the virgin Mary as the matrix to give the
eternal Son a human body. We join in giving her proper honor when we refer to her as Mary, mother
of Christ.

Mark 12:35-37 Whose Son Is the Christ?

And as Jesus taught in the temple, he said, “How can the scribes say that the Christ is the son of
David? 36 David himself, in the Holy Spirit, declared,
“‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand, until I put your enemies under your feet.”’
David himself calls him Lord. So how is he his son?” And the great throng heard him gladly.
