Dear Sam,
I'm having a fabulous time here in Bolivia. I'm staying in Uyuni. It's an amazing place.
There's so much to see. Today we visited the Hotel de Sal Playa - it's made of salt! We had
lunch there. The food was great, and not salty at all!
Tomorrow we're going to Sucre, one of the two capitals of Bolivia. We're staying there for
a few days and then we finish our trip in La Paz.

Unit 8 Lesson D Home habits

2 A typical Sunday Activity C
Use your own ideas. Here is an example.

On Sundays, I never get up as soon as I wake up! I love to sleep late so

it's usually noon before I finally get up. My Sunday routine is often the
same. First, I watch the news on TV while I make coffee. Next, I take a
quick shower and then I check my messages and drink my coffee before I
leave the house. I always meet a friend for lunch at a local restaurant,
and I usually walk there. During lunch, we chat about our week. Then,
after lunch if it's a nice day, we go for a walk in the park. If it's cold or
raining, we often go to see a movie. I really enjoy Sundays, especially
Sunday afternoons.

On Sundays, I get up as soon as I wake up! I don't sleep late, i get up early. My Sunday
routine is often the same. First,  I take a quick shower and then I check my messages and drink
my coffee. Next, I check my job e-mail and go to the gym. I always meet some Friends for

anything important. Then, after dinner if it's a nice day, we go for a ride around the city.

Last weekend, I went to a concert with some of my friends. It took a couple of hours to
drive to the concert. It was pretty far. While we were waiting in line to get in, we started
talking to some people. I thought one of the girls looked familiar. But I wasn’t sure. But
when she said she was from the same town, I asked her “Which school do you go to?” It
was the same school as my brother, and I realized she was one of my brother’s friends. I
couldn’t believe it! It’s amazing that you can meet someone in a crowd of 15,000 people
like that. It’s a small world!

Or

Last weekend, I went to a local restaurant t with some of my friends. It took only about ten
minutes to arrive to the restaurant. It was pretty near. While we were waiting in line to buy
food, we started talking to some people. I thought one of the girls looked familiar. But I
wasn’t sure. But when she said she was from the same university, I asked her “What
semester are you in?” She was from the same semester as me but from another course, and I
realized she was a friend of my best friend. I couldn’t believe it! It is surprising that we had
not met before.

It seems like almost everyone today is part of some kind of social

network. Social networking sites make it easier to talk to friends, find old
friends, and make new ones. Some social networking sites can even help
you to find a new job. However, there can be problems with using social
networking sites. For example, it is much easier for criminals to find out
personal information about you. It’s also easier for people to hack in to
your computer and cause problems with your software. While social
networking is fun, I think we need to be more careful about what
information we share and who we share it with.

It seems like almost everyone today has some electronic device.
Electronic device make it easier to communicate and find things we need
quickly. Some electronic device can even help you to find a new job or
new friends. However, there can be problems with using electronic
device. For example, it is much easier for criminals to find out personal
information about you. If you use them too long it is easy to forget
important things that you must do. While electronic device are fun, I think
we need to be more careful about what information we share and the time
we spend on them .

A couple of decades ago big purses were fashionable and everyone had one. Then suddenly
they were no longer “in," and small purses became the “in” thing. Designer purses were -
and still are popular for women with money to spend. In the 2010s purses became trendy
for men, and pop stars and sports personalities started to carry them.
Purse styles change over time, but one thing is for sure, you never see women without one!
They are always in style.

Or

A couple of decades ago crocs shoes were fashionable and everyone had one. Then
suddenly they were no longer “in," and they became a fashion mistake. Crocs shoes were -
and still are popular for some people but not many as before. In the 2015s crocs shoes
became trendy for young people and health workers, at some point everyone on the street
used them.

Shoes styles change over time, but one thing is for sure, you will never stop using them!
They are always necessary and will never stop changing style.

Unit 12 Lesson D In the future . . .

2 Life in the future Activity C

The ideal city of the future will be a pleasant and healthy place to live and work. First, it
will be easy for everyone to find work. There will be more hi-tech companies with
interesting jobs, especially for young people. Second, there will be better public
transportation and more bicycle paths so there will be fewer cars in the city. If there are
fewer cars, there will be less air pollution so people will have fewer health problems. Next,
it will have an excellent education system with good high schools, colleges, and
universities. College fees will not be expensive, so everyone will be able to take full-time
or part-time courses. Finally, there will be more outdoor markets for local farmers, so
people will be able to buy fresh organic fruits and vegetables. If all cities are able to make
improvements like these, people will be happier and healthier.

Or

Life in the future must change a lot for example will be a pleasant and healthy place to live
and work. First, we will have improved the things we do to the environment,

technology and companies will change to be more friendly to the environment, but it will
still be easy for everyone to find work

although there will surely be many robots that make the job easier. There will be more hi-
tech companies with interesting jobs, especially for young people. Second,
means of transport will not generate as much pollution and there will be more free public
means of transport like bicycles. If there are fewer cars, there will be less air pollution so
people will have fewer health problems. Next, it will have many urban gardens, people will
eat more organic products. Finally, there will be more outdoor markets for local farmers, so
people will be able to buy fresh organic fruits and vegetables. People will be happier and
healthier.

I’m at home with my parents, they’re come for the weekend and We were remembering my
childhood, I need to told you about something that happened when i have nine years old. Well,
you know, in my childhood I had some good times and some bad times. I was having quite normal
upbringing in some ways, but the funny thing is that… in my school days I was a nerd, I was a good
girl and never was popular, I was aloner with just a few close friends, pushing aside myself from
