What is the opportunity?
You will work on a team of highly skilled Network Engineers responsible for the end-to-end
ownership of our Core datacenter network. This includes the design/architecture, definition
and enforcement of standards, security, sustainability/scalability, deployment, and
operations of our current and next generation networks.
What would make me a great fit?
You have experience with Ethernet and IP networking fundamentals, as well as
utilizing IP protocols
You have worked with large-scale Internet Routing Protocols (particularly BGP) and
have good knowledge of this
Even better if you have Linux experience, from provisioning to performance tuning,
and a solid grasp of operation system fundamentals
Software Development / Scripting experience would be a huge bonus!
Is there a remote option?
This opportunity with AWS would require you to be in / relocate to Dublin. However,
given the current COVID-19 Pandemic, we are aware of the difficulties around this. Please
know that AWS will be flexible and considerate regarding any relocation timeline and will
not endeavour to do so until it is safe for you. To help with relocation Amazon will provide
a relocation package, which includes a lump sum to cover transport of you /your
family/belongings, and rent deposit, as well as relocation assistance to help you and any
family who may come with you should you be successful. This may include temporary

What is the interview process?
The interview process will be virtual in light of the current global health crisis, this will
include
1 hour Phone Interview
Final Virtual Interview via Amazon Chime comprising of both Technical and
Competency Interviews (here’s a great article about Interviewing at Amazon)
What is the Salary range?
For now, I cannot give a definitive figure on salary, as that is determined by your experience
and strength of interview if all goes well but I can tell you is the package includes a sign on
bonus, pension, health insurance but best of all (substantial) shares in Amazon. So you will
be well looked after if you decide to come on board.

Is English required?
Yes. AWS operates globally through the English language, and a working proficiency is
