Salary: A starting salary of up to £27k dependant on suitability and experience
Contract: Full time, permanent

About RoBAT:

We are high tech electronics manufacturing experts and due to steady growth we require a
Graduate Software Developer.

This is an opportunity to join our close knit team in our Macclesfield, Cheshire headquarters.  We
design and manufacture high value (£500,000) robotic machines for testing printed circuit boards
(PCB’s).

A high proportion of our sales are in China and the USA where we have wholly owned subsidiaries in
both these locations.  Our staff in these locations provide sales and support for these key market
areas. We have been established for nearly 20 years and are the world leader in this very niche
market.

Our product is a critical part in the supply chain for several of the IT technical giants such as Nokia,
Cisco and Ericsson – to name just a few.

About the role:

A Graduate Software Engineer is needed for the expansion of our in-house talented software team.

We have a proven track record of developing staff from this role and providing career progression.

You will play a big part in our current and future software development. If career advancement is
what you are looking for then this is the role for you.

Essential skills:
 Educated to degree level in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a STEM related
degree with a computing element.
 Knowledge of C, C# or VB .NET
 Good mathematical background

Desirable Skills:
 Any knowledge of WPF would be beneficial but not essential
 We would certainly consider candidates with 1 to 2 years post grad work experience

This opportunity will be working within a close knit, talented and enthusiastic software team. You
will be developing software based on controlling the hardware in our test machines in a way that
meets the demands of customers. This role may not be suitable for candidates simply looking for
software development based on web applications or database programming.
