Geoland 5.0.3.78 release notes
In the Data from recorder spreadsheet, the Ctrl+Q (information) displays the Spread with
receiver index according to the shot date.
10. New in 5.0.3.73 version versus the 5.0.3.72 version - April 15 2014
Shooting 3D > Binning > Assign generic spread
New option to choose the receiver lines which contribute to the spread.
This option available while using receiver preselection in polygon option.
Bug fixing: Insures the result when source point is close to a receiver line.
11. New in 5.0.3.72 version versus the 5.0.3.71 version - April 8 2014
Shooting 3D > Binning > Assign generic spread
New option to choose the receiver lines which contribute to the spread.
Swath lines (Default): All receiver lines of source swath contribute to the spread
If the generic spread contains N lines:
Rear lines: The program chooses N lines, limited in the swath, backward the source point.
Front lines: The program chooses N lines, limited in the swath, forward the source point.
With these two last options, the receiver lines numbering must be coherent with the
receiver grid.
12. New in 5.0.3.71 version versus the 5.0.3.70 version
In the case of a recorder set was defined with no selected component,
Geoland aborted while exporting the header SPS.
This is fixed.
13. New in 5.0.3.70 version versus the 5.0.3.68 and the 5.0.3.69 versions
Bug fixing specific for debian
Shooting3D -> Binning > Compute
Sometimes geoland could abort.
Bug fixing in the case of swath defined as patch
Shooting3D -> Binning > Compute
In the case of patch, the fold computation was bad.
This is fixed.
14. New in 5.0.3.68 version versus the 5.0.3.67 version
Bug fixing on DEBIAN machines.
All modules
On DEBIAN the View > View port > View port files option didn’t work.
On DEBIAN the View > Interest area option didn’t work
This is fixed.

Shooting 2D & 3D
New option to assign the generic spread.
In this example, maximum index are used excepted if the maximum is equal to 9.
If there is only one index equal to 9, this index is used.
Optimization
Optimization has been done for graphic display and for binning computation
19. New in 5.0.3.56 version versus the 5.0.3.53 version
Shooting 2D
Bug fixing.
The median line computation was not correct in the case of vertical 2D multi lines.
(2D multi line: 2D line with several sub receiver lines). This problem is fixed
Layout3D
New options to force the point displacement perpendicularly to I axis or to J axis.
Two new toggle buttons have been added at the bottom of the graphic area.
Surveying2D or Surveying3D
While digitizing a Non seismic object, it is possible to snap to the nearest point or nearest
segment.
Mouse Left Button + Shift key: Snap to nearest point (seismic point, corner of a polygon or
corner of a NSO)
Mouse Left Button + Ctrl key: Snap to nearest segment (segment of a polygon or a NSO) in
the elastic cursor direction.
Recall : Clicking the Mouse middle button inserts a point in the digitized NSO.
Shooting 3D
Binning > Analysis > Surface > Rose diagram option
Now, the total number of colors of the chosen color palette is used to display the “Global Sum
Rose Diagram”.
All modules
Data > Scatter to FastQC option
The “Geocluster seismic code” of a seismic point is set to 99 if this point has the cancelled
status or if his seismic set equal to KL.
All modules
Select > From file option
When the chosen file format contains several items of the same type (example two items of
line type such as Seis_Line_Name and SPSX_Receiver_Line),
The first item of this type is used to compare with the input data.
For instance, you can use the SPS_X_in file format to select the source points defined in the
X file.

Geoland 5.0.3.78 release notes
Bug fixing.
Import module (Data > Fast load option + processing number computation)
With the version 5.0.3.50, when the “Compute processing number” toggle button was set
while importing data with the Fast load option, the computation of the processing number
was not correct. This is fixed from the version 5.0.3.52.
21. New in 5.0.3.50 version versus the 5.0.3.40 version
Main module
Edit > Prospect polygon
New File > KML output option to export the polygon into a kml format file.
Project > Generic spread.
New generic spread coding to include all rear and/or all front traces.
Shooting module
Edit > Spread > Receiver index
Add a sort key option.
Data > To recorder
New option to do not export killed traces (Case of UNITE system).
Data > From recorder
- New option to do not take in account the database killed traces while comparing the
spread from recorder and the spread existing in database (Case of UNITE system)..
- New option to build the spreads by automatically choosing the receiver index according
to the shot date and the leveling date of receivers.
- New option in the From recorder spreadsheet: Edit > Data > Copy SPS index to Idx
Export module
Data> Export
Add the possibility to format the swath or line number included in the output file name.
Layout 3D module
Edit > Prospect grids
For the grid origin, add the choice of current grid vertices.
Improvement of the interface behavior.
Create > line > Source on spiral
New option to create a source line on a spiral.
Shooting 3D module
Binning > Analysis > Surface
Add the computation and display of the global sum fold rose diagram
Binning > Bin grid
With prospect grids defined as source grid parallel to Receiver grid, the default BIN grid is
computed such as: (I_bin, J_bin) = (I_receiver+I_source, J_receiver+J_source)

Geoland 5.0.3.78 release notes
Bug fixing.
Export module (Data > Export option)
In the case of exporting with "Coordinate & spread", "Valid & theoretic" and "One file
per swath" options.
The shot date in source file, was randomly set the null value.
This problem is already fixed in the 5.0.3.48 version.
Remark: This bug did not exist in the case of exporting final files.
Import module
Data > To XPS option
A new choice has been added to sort the spreads by shot date or by the
recorder/tape/record key.
If the Date item is defined in the XPS scatter format, the columns Day (Julian day) and
Hour (HH:MM:SS:mmm) are created in the XPS scatter.
For the sources, the date is the shot date. For the receivers, the date is the date of first use.
The new file format NAVP2_UPHOLE_WATER_DATE_out has been created to do
that.

Geoland 5.0.3.78 release notes
Shooting 3D module
Fold computation option
In the version 5.0.3.17 the program crashed when there was more than 100 different spreads
per swath.
The problem is fixed in this version.
Administration tools
Database creation
While creating the database using the AdmBaseCreate script, the administrator is allowed
to choice the name of the oracle instance (By default it is GELA10G)
New three scripts have been created to run administration tools in line.
(Those tools must be used in a land acquisition environment)
AdmCreateDicoLandInLine to create a land project.
AdmArchiveProjectLandInLine to archive a land project.
AdmDeleteProjectLandInLine to delete a land project.
25. New in 5.0.3.17 version versus the 5.0.2 version
Seismic equipment
- Add of the EmphaSeis and Custom sweep and the Blackman taper to the vibrator set
attributes.
New possibility to change the year in the spreadsheets while keeping the Julian date.
This is done in all spreadsheets where the date is editable.
Fixes the problem of deep zoom while displaying (Geoland2D or 3D) non seismic
objects with the filled area type and also while zooming deeply on binning 2D.
