STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Dreams definitely turn into reality but demand unrelenting commitment and perseverance
from the dreamer. This realization had dawned on me pretty early. Pursuit of knowledge has
been the prime motto of my life and I have done that diligently by exploring avenues which
would satiate my inquisitiveness.
I understand that MSc Computing and Technology based degree is a highly demanding
course and needs dedication and hard work. As I wish to be a Software developer or a
Database Developer, I have found that the syllabus components that are the part of the
curriculum, is well designed to make aspirants like me to be industry ready. It has the
programming languages, tools and other skill-based aspects for developing and maintaining
websites and database, as the modules base mostly on them. The internship is an added tool
to sharpen these skills to be industry oriented.
As a Software Engineer at Softbrij It Solutions, working within the Telecom
domain, I’m involved in developing and maintaining projects for various clients
across the world associated with Flexible Routing and Charging application. the
work has helped me study Web development using Java platforms, massive data
handling, implementing and providing routing and charging voice services and various
other innovative services like televoting, internet callback etc. for service providers. I
even have been awarded the SNAP award for the simplest project within the initial
training stage during this Company which was an enormous boost on a private level to
find out and deliver more. I even have experienced that the core of any business may be
a huge store of knowledge. In-depth simulation, analysis and computation enables well-
informed decisions.
My department offered us comprehensive training in diverse field such Computers in
Bachelors. My academic experiences impressed upon me the importance of software in the
ultimate direction and success of a company. With my growing interest in the software world,
my performance in the college steadily improved over four years of study. As my interest
these are developed, it became clear that the pursuit of post-graduation education in these
areas, ideally in the UK, is the logical next step in my overall development. I have always
been interested in the wellbeing of others and have taken part in voluntary work. I enjoy my
volunteer work at child line, as it gives me a sense of purpose and achievement, whilst
enabling me to communicate in an empathic and systematic manner.
In UK, Northumbria University London has teaching infrastructure is highly advanced and
research oriented with the thrust on understanding the pragmatic implementation of concepts
in real life situations. The research facilities are state of the art and cutting edge. Opportunity
to serve as student assistant to subject matter professors would help me gain insights that are
not commonly available in normal classroom teaching. The curriculum is flexible and the
degree is internationally recognized. The mode of instruction is practical hands-on based.
Experiential learning through participative and reflective methods of understanding is the star
attraction of the course.
After completion of my course in Masters in Computing & Technology with Advanced
Practice in Northumbria University London I will gain hands-on work experience during
my studies, which will help me to gain practical exposure. This internship program will give
me a competitive edge in the global job market and increase my chances of full-time
employment for a successful career in top most companies like TCS, INFOSYS, and
WIPRO in INDIA.
