Here is the step by step installation guide of VAS

5054a VAS-PC V19.01.01 diagnostic software for VAG


group VW Audi Skoda Seat.

1. Start with a clean install of Windows XP SP3 2. Install


Java 1.4.2.15 (attached the install file in this post) 3. Restart
PC and if you are not installing VAS-PC in a Virtual PC,
install virtual drive software like DAEMON tools 4. Go to
control panel---->Java Plug-in---->Click on update tab----
>UN-Check 'check for updates automatically'---->click Apply
and then close it. 4. Mount the VAS-PC 19.01.01 Base CD
and start installation 5. After installation completes, restart
PC 6. Run the VAS-PC Hotfix for v.19.01.01 7. In the
desktop open the shortcut for 'Configurator' - In that, click
'Java Settings' ---> In the 'JVM' box, it should show '1.4' -
close the program. 8. Open VAS-PC from shortcut in the
desktop. It should load and then close. 9. Go to
C:\SIDIS\home and open the 'label' file with Notepad and
change the 'period' value to some date in the future, for ex.
period=26/04/2016 - this is done to prevent the 'out of date'
errors in VAS-PC. Save the file and close it. 10. Open VAS-
PC from desktop shortcut--->click on Administration---
>Enter workshop code Now it will ask for Distribution
Center/Importer No. - enter any 3 digit number in the
numpad and click Q on the on-screen numpad Now it will
ask for Dealership Number - enter a 5 digit number on the
numpad and click Q on the on-screen numpad Now it will
ask for dealership identifier - Enter a name and click Q on
the on screen Keyboard twice. 11. Close VAS-PC. 12. Go to
start menu--->Run--->type 'regedit' (without the quotes) and
press enter 13. Go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SIDIS\ENV and find
the registry entry "THE_REAL_CDROOT" - this entry
contains the CD drive letter that VAS-PC uses for installing
brand CDs - Right click this entry ---> Modify---> then
change value to the drive letter of the CD drive you are
going to use to install the Brand CDs. If you are using a
virtual drive, change this value to the virtual drive's drive
letter. After changing the value, click OK and close the
registry editor. 14. Mount a Brand CD
(VW/Skoda/Audi/Seat/Bently) and open VAS-PC. 15. Click
on 'Administration'--->'Install/Update CD'---> It will ask
whether to install update, click OK ---> now brand CD will
install. 16. Repeat steps 14 and 15 to install the rest of the
